Impressed as well. I thought his tackling was a real weakness last year but he seems to have fixed that fully since then.

He is still a 22yo. The team does seem to work better with him as a key defender and Balta playing as a free radical and general troublemaker for the opposition.

Gray is a 2021 draft guy so it would be ironic in the event Gibcus never finds his best if Gray makes the grade as a key defender from the same draft year. Brown, Banks seem to have found a decent level and even Sonsie is showing signs of life.

A 2029 backline of:

Miller Gray Trainor
Banks Grlj Brown

With space to recruit an experienced 7th defender if the right one emerges, that might be half decent.

Had my doubts, but I’m really liking what he’s bringing to the team. A defender that can actually defend!!
Good type of defender to have, he’s capable of taking the quick athletic talls like Caddy.
Can see his future role as being that lock down defender (Grimes) while Trainor will be the interceptor.

I have a feeling next season. He will be back up forward, as he would have learned so much playing back, and we need a good forward.

We need everything! Having found a possible defender, should we be pissing him around?

Looks more a defender to me. Those long skinny arms are made for getting late spoils in .
with Broad leaving, maybe Vlas , Balta fwd/ruck, Gray and Trainor lock down those tall defender roles.

Miller is the gaping weak link that is not premiership team grade. We need a Weitering, Andrews, Rance, type to contend.

Shame to hear hes done a bad hammy. He was looking better and better each week. He has shown enough to suggest he has a long term future in the backline.

Reminds me a lot of Daniel Turner from the Dees who was BOG against the Hawks on the weekend. Both mature age MSD selections too.

Why are the majority of our hamstring injury long term …. Hardly ever a 3 week hammy
Takes Serpell 12 weeks to figure out where the hamstring is
