I can't say I disagree with any post so far in this thread.

I have attempted to stay away from here fore as long as possible as I know that I will quite simply get extremly pissed off, then while I was at school today I got into an argument with fellow Collingwood supporters all arguing about what went wrong and I realised that I don't understand what went wrong. I don't understand how or why we lost. It hurts freakishly, I wouldn't say it hurt that most of any game in recent times, but it has had the longest lasting sting of any game for the last couple of years.

I think it also has a lot to do with this game losing alot of supporters confidence in the side. Losing this game has meant that alot of people can now see the problems with our side and are coming to the realisation that all that we have been promised for this year won't come true. That's the general feeling i've been getting since the loss anyway.

I am still depressed about it. Came from Perth to see it and have been moping around home evry since I got home. Can only recall two losses that hurt more and they were the '02 Grandy and '07 Prelim. To be so close to a win and to have it snatched away from you like that hurts so much.

I mean I was hugging random men in Pies gear celebrating the Rocca non-goal thinking it was all over! How wrong I proved to be..

Some brainiac at CFC should print out these comments and paste them on the lockers of all the players and let them know what they are playing for. Not their pay, not their career and not themselves. They are only playing for us, the SUPPORTERS!!!!

We who pay to get a return on our hard earn by seeing our team play with a degree of passion and commom sense, and we, although who are very thick-skinned, put up and give back sh*t day in day out (of course we love it).

We sustain the club, not your sponsors who come and go, not your players and officials who also come and go, but us, the Black & White hordes that have made this club the greatest on earth despite any apparent flag success for more than 50 years!

Let's use Nth Melb. as a catalyst for a big '09 and kick their arse!!!

Pretty much what I was thinking. Mick has been notorious in the past for getting the most out of our playing group and getting us playing at a major level of intensity. For whatever reason he isn't doing that anymore, The reasons for him remaining as coach for 2010 are diminishing every week.

Interesting that in I believe 4 out of six of them we were in a very strong position to win the game being multiple goals infront with little time left on the clock too.

The ubderlying fact is that in most of those games we have held a significant lead and we struggle to close out games

It is a serious issue, what is the players current mindset when games get close becuase atm it doesnt seem to be working

When you get disappointed time and time again (which apart from 1990 has happened for the last 27 years for me), it eventually becomes almost expected and the disappointment wears off quicker.

I sitting there happily discussing Leon's ANZAC day medal with my mum and 3 minutes later I feel as though I have been reamed up the coight by a 7 foot Shaq type character minus any form of lubrication.

Worst loss I have ever experienced, and I haven't missed a game in Melbourne for years.

horrible mental picture..... this actually made me laugh out loud and cheered me up from being totally depressed to just merely miserable!
