Shhhitt!
This is foreign territory, what do you do? How do I behave? I'm lost.

Enjoy it but don't get too carried away because we have still only beaten one team in the eight and that was Freo in Melbourne. The next two weeks (Melb and West Coast) will let us know if we could really be finals contenders this year

Tigers are good enough to go all the way this year - yes win the Flag or at least play in that last day in Sept.!!!

Here's why - Tigers are well balanced and well coached.

Our major opposition are:
West Coast - have poor forward line - unproven at the "G"
Saints - their defiencies are now fully exposed - poor back line, and badly coached.
Cats - the big threat because of their superb midfield and backline - but our forward line and scoring power is better.
Demons - soft front runners with a suspect back line.

Here's hoping...

7-2 could become even better with three very winnable games coming up.

we've beaten the 6-2 hoodoo from 2003, lets continue the good form and give finals a real shake

if we can get near to our best team on the park in sept (and hold onto a top 4 spot) then we have every chance, solid miserly defence, powerful tall forwards and exciting crumbers, great rucks, a master coach and even though our midfield is not in the same class as some others it is up there. i cant believe i am saying it!

Does anyone know last time that we were 7-2 ?

1995 we were 8-1, and theres still a way to go to beat the 11-1 record they went on to have later in the year!

Sorry to be the wet blanket, but we won't win the flag this year.

My rationale?

Well, Plough trained them into the ground over summer - worked them as hard as buggery ... and they needed it from all accounts.

And while this technique appears to have changed the culture around, and maybe even has us in peak form and fitness at this stage of the year, I suspect our performances will wane as the bodies tire from all of the rigors through June and July.

We should be content with the wonderful improvement made by our playing group, but also realistic enough that the premiership was never really in our sights for 2005. And not be bitter if we only finish 7th or 8th.

Next year however ....

You make a lot of sense Ghost. The greedy me thinks bugger that, take any chance you get because you never know when the next one will be see 1995 & 2001.Also any side could pinch one as there is no stand out like most years. However the realist in me complies with the GhostofJimJess.I like the Greedy me :D
