I was there Friday night and Butlers presence really stood out. His dash, tackling, run and carry, was very impressive. I know its only pre season but I couldn't help get a little excited.

Also off topic, did anyone notice that Adelaide looked a lot bigger and bulkier then the Tiges??? I dont know... It may be just me.

Agree they did look bigger.... They always have been a big team.

They did look bigger, we were faster though.

Our problem hasn't been that we're small, which we are, but that we've been slow AND small AND indecisive, that's a disaster waiting to happen. We're a lot quicker and as long as we can outrun our opposition and make decisions quicker than we have in the past I think we'll be fine. :D

Something about the Crows outfits always has made them look big - horizontal stripes and all that...
Fatty's are advised not to wear horizontal stripes for example...

This is now the reason I will give anytime someone asks me why I'm a Richmond supporter, couldn't go for Geelong or Adelaide cause of the horizontal stripe, the diagonal slash on the Richmond jumper is more slimming. ;)

To keep it on topic. I love the look of this kid, where have we been hiding him?

It's been repeated many times, but he was at St Pats with Rioli & Jacob Hopper, Liam Duggan and he was a star.

At the time was clearly better than Daniel.

So he's got a bit.
 
I preferred his game to Castagna's (not having a crack at Georgie) who seems to be getting the plaudits.
I'd like to see Dan given full game time in both of the next practice matches.
My view is that the biggest thing holding him back is lack of confidence from the coaches and he just needs to play a few games to feel like he belongs.

Agree with this.
George got on the end of a couple but Butler created, ran and pressured better.

If Dan can get some consistent footy in this season & an uninterrupted preseason again, he has the tools to be just about anything imho......
