Leading up to the Mid Season Draft, when Austin said we'll be looking to select a player "to get ahead of this year's National Draft", I don't think he would have envisaged this scenario in his wildest dreams

I'm thinking it was serendipity; maybe we traded up for FOS at a minimum, thinking that Jagga could already be gone.

I'm starting to wonder now how far back Nick's decision to get Jagga goes?
Was it when he drafted Cooper in the mid season draft last year knowing he and Jagga were good mates and probably knowing then that Jagga was going to be a high end pick. Maybe the combination of the two was enticing? Win win.
Nick seems to like having mates/family play together.
Just a thought, but if close to true, that really is some outstanding work.

That would be amazing but to my eye he looks to have quite a bit of Nick Daicos about him.
Would be pretty fn happy either way I would think.

Well, if it does go back a way and he got around NM to get what he wanted, that's some outstanding list management.
He's fast instilling in me, a greater level of faith in him, as the guy to get us no17 and beyond.
Must be why the club got him in the 1st place, coz they know he can build a premiership list.

A few weeks back.
We didnt even interview him at the combine because we knew he wasn't going to be there at our pick in the teens. We had him ranked at 1.
That all changed when we got Pick 3 from the Eagles.

We didn't just get pick 3. It was planned and my point is it may have been at least a contingency plan to start with, but in Austin's mind nonetheless.
Why would we interview him at the combine when we didn't have the pick at that stage?
The move to get 3 was planned and orchestrated specifically to get Jagga imo.
