what are you expecting from the remaining 7 weeks of the 2006 season?

we play:
ess (mcg)
freo (td)
mel (td)
haw (mcg)
rich (td)
coll (mcg)
syd (scg)

IMO
we will win 2 more games, v ess & haw.
we will be competitive v freo, rich & coll
but will struggle against v melb & syd
1 rookie (jackson) to be promoted
hartlett to get a run in the senior team 2 or 3 games
bower and flint a possibility to get a run

for me the remainder of the year is about effort and comittment- results have little relevance.

Without Murphy playing and if Stevens don't pull his finger out I don't think we could beat Hawthorn as their midfield is quite good and Spida in the ruck will destroy French.

The only win I can almost bet my house on is this week against Essendon.. but even that I'm being cautious about.

ess (mcg) - W
freo (td) - look like winning in patches just cos its freo - L
mel (td) - L
haw (mcg) - L
rich (td) - L
coll (mcg) - L
syd (scg) - L

jackson and flint should get promoted, can't see smith getting promoted with both blackwell and bentick in the side.

Ess (MCG) - Win by 20-50 points.
Freo (TD) - Win by 3 goals.
Mel (TD) - Loss by 5 goals (We generally play well against the Dees).
Haw (MCG) - 50/50.
Rich (TD) - Loss by two goals.
Coll (MCG) - Loss by four goals.
Syd (SCG) - Loss by 5 goals.

I seriously think we can win 2-3 games of footy, perhaps more, if we keep it at, like we have more most of the season. We need a lot of four quarter efforts in these last seven games.

you would bet your house on a win this week but at the same time you're cautious about it.

If we can get a win this week, I'd expect to be a chance to win every game we play in.

It's like Ten Pin Bowling these last 7 games. You have 7 frames left, after a poor start, get a strike, follow it up with another, then another - 3 in a row. Simple. Keep the momentum. Lift with confidence and bang, you have 5 strikes in a row and you are on the way to a game of 200+.

i think we will beat essendon (kennedy to get a rising star nomination) and fremantle and come close to hawthorn and sydney. deluca and sporn will not play another game and jacskon and flint will be promoted. bower and hartlett should also get a glimpse of senior footy before the end of the season. i also wouldnt be suprised if stevens was dropped for game to learn how to be accountable.

even if this all happens, it wont hide the fact that this was another failure of a year.

WE will beat collingwood.

Dont bother with the pencil on that one folks, chilel it in.

You took the words out of my mouth!!!
I've just got that feeling,it's like in our DNA never to be owned by the filth.
As for other games ,it's the games where we're are not rated that might raise some eye brows. My prediction possibly 2 wins left!

To tell the truth I think almost all of the games for the rest of the season are winnable, it just depends which ones we actually do win

Realistically, the games against Essendon and Richmond are the two winnable games. Essendon is just pathetic this year, and there really should be no reason why we cant beat them, and Richmond are characteristically hot and cold- depends on which team turns up. The rest will probably all be losses in the 2-6 goal region- expect us to be competitive for between a quarter and three quarters, with a dodgy first or last quarter to hurt us.

Im not far of this. Its how I catually fell judging by the downward spiral of our margin of loss and constant game improvement. Its just htat once bitten twice shy.

we have proven that we can beat anyone and we should win the remainder of the games this season. Just a matter of getting our heads right.

ah..........did I miss something somewhere?
