Why do we always reach?

It's hardly a reach when all the key forwards were rated pretty similarly. They were all a bit different, but all have their strengths.

If no one picks a key forward before our next pick then we could well have waited, but we just don't know how we rate someone vs how everyone else rates them. I'm happy enough with how we are getting virtually first choice all through the draft. First mid picked, check. First key fwd picked, check.

Also unlikely Dogs pick a key fwd with who is on their list. So we will likely get our second choice KPP if that's where we go next.

Great pick imo. We took the strongest of the key forwards, exactly what we need exactly at the right time to dovetail with Lynch's career. Not worried about "reaching," you pick them where you rate them, not where bigfooty & the media rate them.
