there was a cliparound this week on FB showing him playing as a junior and U18 s in his no9. Amazing how much his body has transformed from pudgy kid with puppy fat and no definition to the athlete his is now. Onward and upward for Paddy next year.

In my opinion, Cripps needs to stay in the no.9 guernsey. He may be deserving of 5, but don't rip other people off after they have promoted the number 9 everywhere.

Besides, after his predecessor failed to satisfy fans, he is certainly making up for it.

Would be awful marketing to put him in the number 5 . everyone already has jumpers with 5 on it. Should sell a ton of 9s next season

No reason for a move to the #5 jumper. Chris has just retired and in time another will take up that #5 mantle.

In the meantime Patty will raise the #9 jumper to dizzying heights. He does not need to wear the #5 for that.

Nick Graham, Ciaran Byrne, Blaine Boekhorst, Clem Smith, Bradley Walsh, Dylan Buckley & Sam Docherty will be getting heaps of games next year surely.

That is a great group of players to begin with.

Nothing wrong with sticking with the Blues #9 jumper, worn with distinction by Kenny Hunter one of our best and most courageous players.
