You're scaring me...........Which part exactly did I go the full Brereton?

I'm thinking 'horizontal', 'parallel', and the plate analogy whereby the rest of the panel start to chuckle at where he is going, and he has to stop to acknowledge their ridicule before he retorts ... 'no no, he holds it flat like a waiter holds a plate and .....', and when he is finished someone quips something about not going out to dinner with Cripps then, and the host hastily moves on.

i dont rate him as elite yet. he will be i just think he needs to play 40-50 games. he has all the skills plus more. even on thursday night he was good but i think he can be a lot lot better. but im being picky. i have no doubt in the next 1-3 years cripps weitering curnow will be elite players which we need. silvagni plowman & mckay are outside chances.

I just don't know how he always finds someone with the handball. If this was a video game and set that skill at the highest level, the game will still not allow you to find players as Cripps does as it would be "too unrealistic"
Well said. It's ridiculous sometimes. He doesn't need to be facing a team mate, he seems to know exactly where they are.

Backed him earlier this week to win the Brownlow. Speculative and optimistic I know but hey....

This is entirely reasonable. He has Brownlow written all over him. I dare say we'd have to win 8-10 games to give him a chance which we will prob fall short of this year. The thought of him as a 25 year old with 100 games under his belt 8n a decent side is quite frightening.

It must be like playing with Diesel. Players would shit themselves a ball would explode at them from virtually anywhere and they had to be ready.

Is Kevin Bartlett, Danny Frawley, Cameron Ling and Luke Darcy still on the All-Australian voting panel?

If so, then no, he is not elite. They will find someone else that obtains half the amount of contested possessions but somehow is rated above Cripps.

I am going to call it early in round 1. Lock it in for All-Australian voting later this year. Someone like Rory Sloane or Bernie Vince will be considered just slightly better than Cripps...and they will say "plenty of time for him to get selected in the years ahead etc".

Again with the poor us routine, harmesy. Won't re-develop your swagger that way.

You are right. I have lost all my swagger. 10 years of watching Carlton matches has left me a defeated wretch.

Still, if you can find a reason why Luke Darcy is on the voting panel of EVERYTHING please let me know.

In positive news, (not a poor us routine for a change) I was pleased to see Tuohy make the All-Australian team for the Coaches Association. That is the format they should use in the years ahead as it is based on coaches votes...and not the personal opinion of ex-players who support certain clubs despite how "impartial" they are.

Choose a back pocket, choose two ruckmen etc...excellent concept. Coaches votes only.

Lambert and Cotchin will get in.

I've heard Cripps was in a freak accident as a kid. Resulted in the loss of his eyesight but his other senses overdeveloped to compensate, giving him superhuman awareness. True story.

Have you ever seen him handball where he's looking?
:D

If Priddis can do it, Cripps can too.
