OK I am thinking about having a multi bet on the Brownlow, of the following. All of these are for the player to win his club's votes:

St Kilda - Most Votes Nick Riewoldt Winner 1.22
Brisbane - Most Votes Simon Black Winner 1.20
Collingwood - Most Votes Dane Swan Winner 1.67
Carlton - Most Votes Chris Judd Winner 1.28
North Melbourne - Most Votes Brent Harvey Winner 1.03
Western Bulldogs - Most Votes Adam Cooney Winner 1.16

The total odds of that all up is $3.47.... anyone see any of those blokes NOT winning their team?

I was thinking the same thing. I will add in,

Richo i think around 1.50
Cooney - pretty short
Thompson (adel.) 1.65
Cox -

Adds a bit more value, teams to hard to pick Melbourne bruce shortest at 3.30 Geelong Ablett or Bartel Sydney kirk at $2.00.

I rekon J.McVeugh at $ 6 for most votes into Green at $5.50 for most votes is some value.

Yeah I was thinking of Richo, but I heard a rumour he's not even invited to the Brownlow... surely that can't be right? Anyone confirm of deny that?

Also how did Richo only finish third in their B&F?

Question: can you bet leader at round 11 in the same multi with the winner?

So for example Black to be leading at round 11 and Bartel to win.

I dont think you can...

Generally with multi bets you can only include one bet on a particular event

That's only when events are related, like with the example given there above about half time / full time leader. Or if, for example, you wanted to back Black to win Brisbane, and Black to win the overall, related events.

Individual winners of respective teams aren't related though, so multis are OK.

Adding Richo to that list I posted in the OP makes it odds of $5.24

Yeh richo didn't get invited. Richmond players that did are:
Kayne Johnson(Captain)
Nathan Foley
Brett Deledio
Shane Tuck

Don't know why richo didn't get invited, had his best year yet and Will poll good votes.

Actually, most bookies DO NOT allow multi bets on futures betting.

I am pretty sure the TAB is the only agency offering Multi's on the Brownlow.

Was invited. Declined. Did it last year too so that somebody younger could go.

No, www.sportsbet.com.au are also offering it, and I put a test bet (just of $5 to test it out) on the multi above, and the bet was accepted. That agency offer better odds than the TAB.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. People that put Chris Judd in their multi's are crazy. Stevens or Murphy are good chances to beat him this year. Judd is unlikely to poll over 14 votes...

What does everybody think about this multi-bet?

dane swan most votes coll'wood
chris judd most votes carlton
matthew pavlich most votes freo
brent harvey most votes kangas:eek:;)
nick riewoldt most votes st kilda
adam cooney most votes bulldogs
simon black most votes brissy
kane cornes most votes port
dean cox most votes eagles

odds are $6.64! Should I add or change anything?:thumbsu::confused:

That's interesting you say that, because I was kind of thinking the same way. Yesterday, when considering this multi, I initially did not have Judd in there, for the same reasoning, but threw him in to bulk the odds up, just relying on all those Blues fans to be right....

Any Blues fans have an opinion on this?

Reckon Pavlich is a good value bet for the top 5 as is Dane Swan, Judd always seems to poll well on Brownlow night last year he was loads out in front until adductor troubled

does anyone think delidio at $5 can beat richo?put him in any multi and the odds go up massively

That's been a concern for me, too. Deledio fits the profile of a vote getter so much better than Richo does, but Richo did float up on a wing a lot and I reckon the umpires will see that a bit more.

I am in a quandry...

maybe its best to pass, there plenty other options i guess to put in the multi...athough judd did win games for us or atleast set em up..wc,melb,port,dogs..he will do well...i think hes been our best player in about 15 games this yr

Does anyone think that the winner can come out of the top 3

Yes, I do.

I don't think it's very likely, but it COULD happen.

Reasons - Ablett/Bartel will lose votes to Selwood early, and Corey also, and of course to each other. That's a problem. Harvey... well North did lose a few games and Harvey went OK but he's not dominant. Plus he's a hog. :p

Having said that, I don't know who would win it outside the top 3.... Black will poll VERY VERY well in the first 12 rounds, if luck goes his way, you never know...

Deledio will beat Richo.
Van Berlo will beat Thompson.

I think Pav will poll a lot of twos and maybe threes in the games that Freo lost by under 10 points, he was there best player in most of them good value at $31
