It seems that everyone seems to be tapping melb on the back saying we've been brave, putting in brave performances and losing the last 2 by a kick to finals aspirants, as if WE have been on the bottom of the ladder like carlton for the last 5 years.

Hello? We were final aspirants. Sure we were decimated by injuries in the early rounds but who's missing now? Sure mclean and robbo, but have a look at adelaides injury list for gods sakes. The saints anyone? They dont even have a backline at the moment.

We are simply not good enough. Last year we did so well cuz of a great run of injury, but as soon as a couple fall down we are down right hopeless. Is it a depth problem? Probably. But im telling you there was enough good players on the park to make a meal of the bulldogs who arent exactly in the best form of their lives and arent without their injuries either.

We just simply are not good enough.

We were one good player short IMO.

I agree though, if we don't win, then I couldn't care less how well we played, you don't get points for effort in this league.

Exactly.

But I was more pleased with our efforts against Port Adelaide and the Bulldogs than I was against St Kilda, Geelong and Hawthorn.

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. A win is coming up soon, our recent performances suggest so.

I see where your coming from, but I think over the last two weeks the effort from the players has been 100%, like it should be every week and we have to give them credit for having a real crack.

Adelaide have the most depth in the AFL with almost every one of their players being up to AFL standard so when comparing depth to them no other team will be better. I dont think we lost to the dogs because we lacked depth in covering our injuries because the guys who came in played well. What we needed was to play them on our terms to stop their run out of the backline.

I like where you're coming from. You have to remember about Adelaide though that they knew those players probably bar Johncock would be out for the majoirty of the season and thus werre able to develop a game plan around it. We would have developed ours round Brock being our best player jsut about and Robbo playing more int he square remember Neita coming otu during the preseason adn sayuing he was gfoing to play CHF

I think your reading too much into Brock and Robbo, we were is piss poor form the first 5 weeks and it wasnt good enough despite the injuries, the last two weeks weve played like a good team just firing up in rounds 1 and 2, the problem is where 0-7, and Neita says hes coming to CHF more every year!

Rounds 1 and 2 were inexcusable. Round 3, to be honest Geelong had a similiar side out on the park last year when we played them in Round 5 and beat them in the wet (We were also missing Neita that night).
I'll admit I overrated our list, and I think 2008 will be very different, firstly I don't think ND will or should be at the helm after this year.

I don't think he should either, and it has nothing to do with the fact that we are 0-7 (many outsiders are saying "give him another chance without injuries"). I believed his time was up after 2005, although 2006 saw an improvement in our style of play and a raft of exciting youngsters introduced. But the fact is, Daniher has had 10 years to build this team and we have not finished top four (which is the initial requirement for a premiership these days) since 2000. It is now 2007, almost a decade is up since then so I think it is time for a change at seasons end. He will be out of contract, we can come to a mutual agreement (not so much a sacking - if that's even possible) and thank The Reverand for all his efforts since 1998.
