On another Thread (Carlton V Essendon players) a link in a post by an Essendon supporter sends you to a Sack Kevin Sheedy petition... kinda like dejavu if you ask me!

Here is the wording of that petition.

The Essendon Football Club, it's players, it's staff & most of all it's supporters not only want success we demand Success. EFC is meant to be the best an dleading club in the AFL and yet we are continiously fed with this bull football week in week out by Kevin Sheedy.

This Man we call Sheeds has just coached his 600th game at EFC, This old fart should have retired at the end of last season when we finished 13th. Essendon is the sort of club that should be in the finals every season, Kevin Sheedy when coaching in a game is 40+ points behind and what does he do ? He demands all his players to play in the back half and FLOOD. We should play attacking football, not so defensive that we give away silly goals willy nilly.

Kevin Sheedy is not only too old to be coaching a professional outfit, his ideas have gone as stale as the 10 week old cheese in the back of the fridge that people leave there time and time again.

WE DEMAND SOMETHING DONE AND SOMETHING TO BE DONE NOW ! NOT AT SEASONS END AND NOT AFTER NEXT SEASON !

We are a proud and successfull club and we demand success at every corner. It is time to Sack the old fart known as Kevin Sheedy now and not after his cotnract ends in late 2007. We do not want 3 successive season down near the bootom of the league ladder. We deserve to be in the finals every season.

The time is right to sack Kevin Sheedy. I plead with the rest of the Essendon Fans and Supporters to sign this petition and to let the whole country know that WE Want Sheedy out NOW !

Now no matter how much we as Carlton ppl may dislike Sheedy we can't deny he's given the Essendon faithful lotsa good times and now to call him an old fart is rude/crude. And Sheedy I'm sure has a lot of credits to his name and should be allowed a bad year.

My point to this thread is.... some of us may not Like Pagan as our coach (I AM NOT ONE OF THEM as Pagan I believe is the man for the job). But to those of you that do not like him lets show some respect to a guy (Pagan) that has brought a lot of success to AFL (albeit North Melb), was a Carlton man in his younger years and is trying hard in the face of adversity to make Carlton a power again.

Pagan may have brought alot to the game but that is in the past. He started off with the young kids at North and did do a great job but when I compare that to what he is doing with our young kids I can only criticise because he brings them into the seniors and then when the ENTIRE team has a bad game he drops them back to the 2's (Kennedy and Blackwell this week). These kids are players of our future and they should be kept in the side to gain experience. Instead Pagan chooses to play Longmuir who is not a part of our future and should be delisted at the end of the year!!!

Unfortunately Pagan is not the man for Carlton's future and his decisions this week regarding Kennedy and Blackwell being dropped is evidence of that and will be added to the list that unfortunately is getting bigger at a consistent rate!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion thats why there is so much wrong with the world.

If Denis Pagan is tanking for better draft picks then I still dont see why he isnt blooding players for next year, pexerimenting with tactics, trying new things out in what would be a wasted season. But, and lets face it, he isnt. He is just a loser. Our players look fine. It is pure and simple coaching failure. This means not just tactics, but also player managmnet, team managment, morale, confidence, etc. He is not just not winning games but failing miserably. Show me ONE new tactic this bloke has tried. Something, ANYTHING.

Then get rid of the whole football department. Not just the coach, you can get rid of the coach and have the same assistants nothing much will change. Also the coach is not the only person who selects teams.

Jules, in all honesty, u might think the players is the prob at the Bombers but I honestly think the prob at Carlton is the Coach.

I watch the Blues week in week out and honestly can't see alot wrong with the playing bunch but where I do see problems is with the Coach.

He doesn't play to the players strengths, he plays defensive footy, he isn't even playing the kids when this is the time he should be!! Instead he reverts to sorry cases like Longmuir, Sporn, Livingstone, Prendagast, etc when kids like Kennedy, Blackwell, Russell, Bryan and O'Hailpin should be running around in the one's and not the 2's!

Unfortunately we dont have much choice put to persist with Pagan cause the F%*&EN board appointed him Coach til the end of 2008!!! What the hell were they thinking when they did that honestly..... WE WERE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LADDER WHEN THEY DID THAT!
