Scully, you completely ****ed us over and it hurt. It was embarrassing and I think it contributed to a poor season in 2011 and it set our development back quite a bit. We lost time and a number 1 draft pick.

But...

Thank you so much for being a selfish moo. What you have given us by leaving is something you couldn't give us by staying. A strong future.

When you left I was angry. But my great friend the AFL only fined my club for getting you and gave me pick 4 and 13 for losing you. It was only with your help could we get Toumpas at 4 and Hogan Dawes and Barry at 3&13. And because even your new club knew you were a real mothergoose they gave us Viney at 27 as well (GWS )

Jimmy Toumpas just signed a contract extension. He has magnificent kicking, composure and already seems more developed than you. He is a leader and he is also highly skilled in smiling. he is a direct replacement for you Tom, and while he is a few years younger than you it doesn't look like he'll need long to catch up.

Hogan and Dawes (especially Hulk) will provide us with the forward lime we have been missing all through the dark times.

Viney is a beast. I think you'll remember meeting him for the first time.

And Barry is the great unknown. But his pace alone has me excited.

Thank you Tom Scully, picking you at number 1 really did rebuild my club, it just required you to do the right thing and be a merc so we could get some great quality on our list that all want to be a Demon.

I'm sorry for being so angry at you, but now I have nothing but good things to say about you.

Oh I'm over him. I wouldn't want him back if he came for free. But I am always going to smile whenever I think that if he had have been loyal we'd be in a much worse position.

Viney would have cost us #3 and there wouldn't have been the money to chase Clark.

So no Hogan, Barry, Toumpas, Clark and we would have had to offer #26 and something nice to get Dawes (which may or may not have happened).

But we would have had Scully playing for us at the low low price of $3.27 billion dollars a game.

Massive win for us in an era where wins are at a premium.
