I hope ir's Pizzaballa, he has the best name out of all of the candidates.

I had the good fortune to see one of the old Popes live when I visited the Vatican back in 2001.

It was the day after 9/11 and he made a speech about it after rocking up in the old Popemobile.

No doubt it's why he got the gig, he's an old fashioned Pope that covers up sexual abuse, the last one couldn't do it well enough.

I'm no fan of the Catholic church even though I like the whole pomp and ceremony of them appointing a new Pope.

I thank my lucky stars I never went to a Catholic boys school, I've heard the stories of the boys that went to them.

I thought it was always a pretty big thing, doesn't happen too often. I am a Mick however so always take notice.

It probably gets more attention and interest now due to having 24 hour news channels along with the internet and social media.

In the past people would have just read about the election of a new pope in the newspaper the next day so not as much interest.
