A future line-up from our current list.

F: Burton Rutten Bode

HF: Welsh Watts Jericho

C: Reilly Johncock Doughty

HB: Begley Parker Torney

B: Hentschel McGregor Gallagher

R: Hudson Stenglein Ladhams

B: Andrews Hazell Schuback Bock

Not sure there are enough game-breakers in the midfield, unless Ladhams, Schuback, Johncock and Reilly turn into the stars some have suggested they might be.

Key positions look strong, and the forward-line potentially looks very potent.

Is/will parker be really strong enough to hold CHB, also i dont rate welsh's 50 metre kick.
apart from that its about right BUT we would lose a lot of games.
good recruiting/trading is a must when you look at that side.

You can say that again.

Midfield = P|ss poor.
Forward Line = Pretty potent (Would have Krueger at FF ;):p)
Backline = Has potantial. I would probably swap Hentschel and Parker or Parker and Kenny.
Rucks = Don't really strike me with fear. Very thin.

Surely Massie makes that side!!!!!!

I think given a year or two more of muscular development, Parker will be fine.

This is not a team I would put on the park right now, except out of morbid curiosity.

Captain needs to be someone who could inspire, and I don't think Stenglein really offers that. More of a vice-captain in my mind, along with McGregor.

Begley shapes as a possibility to lead from the front, but I'm not sure if he would have the support of the whole playing group...maybe Welsh, if he finds some consistent form, or even Johncock?

Well, yes, I did name him in the back pocket after all.

Ah yes, scratch maybe Hazell.

I have grave concerns for our future:confused:
but if we could add a ottens and say a brett voss or ebert???
then we are looking real good;)

Brett Voss? Good for the Saints, but not good enough for what we need.

Ebert? Overrated.

Ottens? IF he could produce past form, consistently, yes. Otherwise, he won't offer us much as he is now.

I might as well have a crack at it myself

_F: _ 24. Brett Burton _ 31. Joshua Krueger _ 26. Jacob Schuback
HF: _ 40. Chris Ladhams _ 6. Fergus Watts _ 17. Scott Welsh
_C: _ 33. Brent Reilly _ 20. Tyson Stenglein _ 30. Luke Jericho
HB: _ 3. Kris Massie _ 16. Ken McGregor _ 15. Jason Torney
_B: _ 37. Trent Hentschel _ 29. Aidan Parker _ 28. James Begley
1R: _ 13. Ben Hudson _ 18. Graham Johncock _ 10. Matthew Bode

INT: _ 43. Rowan Andrews _ 21. James Gallagher _ 11. Michael Doughty _ 27. Scott Stevens

EMG: _ 25. Ben Rutten _ 44. Nathan Bock _ 41. Tim Hazell

This side sucks :(

proberbly right but he's the only ruckman (that i could think of) that is good enough and young enough to be playing with the pipe team in say 4 years.
oh goodes will do:D

Now, now Stiffy.

Give em time.

But it is proof that the midfield is where we are lacking.

That mid-field if frightening - to Adelaide supporters!! :(

We must draft a couple of hard nuts and a couple with speed over the next couple of years.

We need midfielders and ruckman.

I have been following Ottens closely this year. He has had a stinker of a season until he had his pants pulled down by Perrie. He has been pretty good in the last few games. Getting a lot of hitouts, getting a lot of clearences and doing some good work in general field play. He is the only ruckman out there thats worth chasing.

The team doesn't look too flash, but we will be adding at least three first round draft picks in the next three years, and hopefully more if we trade smartly. Plus a few second and third round picks, and a couple of Johncock-esque late picks, we should be ok.

IF, and its a very big IF, Parker and Hentschel come good, which I think they can, maybe McGregor could be a trade option?

(Don't hit me Stiffy;) )

Which is why Adelaide (or anyone else) have Sweet Fanny Apples
of getting him. Richmond will ask the Earth and Adelaide never overpays, except for broken down champions with 2 years left in them.

Bit unfair don't you think. I bet you were one of those people saying the same thing about Jarman trade.

Fact is we screwed up and lets move on. WE are not the only club and we certainly will not be the last that will make a poor trade. Sh|t happens but I think overall our trading has been alright.
