I think this guy will not be as big a bolter as everyone expects and will be picked up in the second round not the first. He hasnt shown enough for mine to earn a spot as a first round pick. In saying that being a late bloomer with a large upside could mean whoever picks him up will get a steal.

He will be a late first rounder at the worst but if he last til pick 22 STEAL

I rate him higher than Lewis Jetta. I know most of you will find that hard to believe due to the contrast in media coverage, but i live in WA, have seen both of them play, have played againist both of them

Yep - I'd say that being mentioned as the best player in your team for 2/3 games at WAFL League level in a team beaten convincingly on both occassions is probably showing more than all bar a handful in this draft.

Its a pretty logical conclusion, especially when there is no vision of him playing.

Ive seen Aaron Black play once and that was only when he got a game at WAFL level. Chances you have seen him play as a Victorian are pretty slim.

Anyway, Black sounds (I havnt seen him play and only going off what Ive read) well and truly in contention for Melbournes pick 11. The good thing for WC and Freo is that he's made quite a late run so the Melbourne clubs might not have had time to see enough of him to take the punt.

Looks like Black was a Second Rounder as I stated, maybe you know less than you portray to know.

BUMP!

Aaron Black will debut against the Tigers on the weekend after kicking 8 goals in the last two weeks for North Ballarat in the VFL.

Black has had a chequered start to his career at North. He put on 10kg's over the first 6 months at the club, getting up to 90kgs and playing some decent footy at VFL level. However he started suffering from OP mid way through 2010 and had an operation to releive that and I believe to remove bone shards from muscle around his groin.

After his operation he dropped back to 80kg's and started playing VFL early into the H&A season. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to the table, although I still suspect that he is not back at 100% fitness.

Just glad that a kid gets a crack after bad injury affected the start of his career, much like Sam Blease.

North are just giving him a taste I think. Brad Scott said today that he is a big part of our future so moving him on looks highly unlikely. Besides, he won't really be in top shape physically until after pre-season, considering his heavily disrupted start to 2011, so it won't be till then at least before the club can fully assess his abilities and limitations.

The guy has had 3 groin operations in 18 months, inbetween those injuries hes kicked 46 goals in the VFL from around 14 matches accross the two seasons.....


The only place he is being moved onto is the North forward line...

i would like to see him get a game some time next year, being touted as a potential forward would be a bit ironic if Gibson played on him against the hawks.
