With Collingwoods stubborn & egotistical trading tactics I believe the Crows should look for a very well structured "Plan B" , which involves a trade for AARON DAVEY. DAVEY could answer the crows small forward issues rather than a troublesome DIDAK.

It was announced on Channel 10 that DAVEY was also on Adelaide's hit list for trade week. We should have a crack at him with "all guns blazing".

thoughts?

Davey would be a great pick up. Would cost no where near as much as a Didak and would still add a lot of pace and great crumbing nous up forward. Melbourne will be looking for a clean-out I feel and will give away a fair bit in order to ensure they have a lot of draft picks. Would be one we could snare I feel.

Good, because I sure don't want him. :thumbsd:
Do you watch any games other than Crows or Norwood? Davey is a genuine matchwinner and just needs to play in a team where he is not expected to carry the can on his own. If he was in a team that had a physical presence and could offer him a little protection, he would be an outstanding asset. Has the pace we need, the skills we need and the goalkicking ability that we need. I say Davey would be worthy 3/4 of the kitchen sink.:thumbsu:

Would love Aaron Davey, definitely prefer him over Didak.

I agree.

Firstly the trade price would be fair rather than an attempt to screw our brains out, and secondly his crumbing, goal sense, tackling and sheer pace is exactly what we need.

Forget Didak and target Davey. He would be a sensation in our side with the number of forward 50 entries that we have.

Did anyone ehar watch the game last night? Didak was sensational, more than just a small forward.

It would be great to see Aaron running around in crows colours, his dad was a champion at my club and he would quickly become a favourite, however can't see it happening unfortunately.

what club do you play for?

Hi mate I didn't get to play with Gunny[Alwyn senior] as he passed away quite young but did play many games with his nephew who could have played at league level and is still playing for Malle Park in Pt Lincoln[he also won a mail medal in1989 whilst at Thevenard and another in 1998 at Mallee Park]. Gunny played in the Far West League for Thevenard inbetween stints in Darwin, he won three [1971,72,73] mail medals in this league alone so was a very very handy footballer. Fantastic family and as I stated earlier would be extremely happy to see Aaron in red blue and gold!!!

I believe Alwyn Davey Snr. had won 3 mail medals by the time he was 18 years of age,the youngest to ever win the coveted Mail medal.Hadyn Davey won 2 as well as runner-up in the seconds Magarey Medal while playing for Norwood in in 1972. Bevan Davey won 2 medals for Southern in 1969 and Port Lincoln in 1977.Fabian Davey was another and I think he may have tried out with Norwood. I believe that the sister of these 3 brothers in the mother of one famous Gavin Wanganeen. Maybe some investigation of the bloodlines will tell which descendants are playing now. Bet there are some good ones there somewhere.
Could this be the best football producing family we have seen?
