it is in todays herald sun. apparently essendon and collingwood are confirmed as having discussions with melbourne about getting him.

essendon obviously want him to join alwyn at the windy hill, but we too are keen on snapping him up. i'm a bit usure on whether we need a player of his sorts but then again ulook at stkilda:

already had a number of outsiders (gram, dalsanto, goddard, montagna) yet a few years back they picked up even more (ray, schneider, etc.)

considering marty has left, could he be a good inclusion across half back and through the midfield?

How is it "... another failure to deliver from collingwood ..." when the fact is
1) IT WAS ONLY EVER A RUMOUR - nothing more.

2) It was another BS RUMOUR at that.

The HS report was simply wrong (as they often are this time of the year). By the time that article was published, Aaron Davey had already re-signed with Melbourne. He was never going elsewhere.

I couldn't disagree more.

Both Stanley and Cook could definitely fetch the morning paper. Only trouble is that if it was Stanley, due to the lack of pace, Aaron would not get his morning paper to sometime in the evening or even the next day perhaps.

If it was Cook fetching the paper, he would do a 360 degrees on picking up the paper and probably deliver it to Aaron's neighbour.

the australian article yesterday said melbourne have agreed to offer a 3 year deal. nowhere did it say he has re-signed.

Draft concessions kick in next year.

The draft is the same picks wise this year....the only different aspect is that the minimum age was raised, so there are no bottom aged players, hence the draft has less depth than previous ones.

out of all the players to target, aaron davey, give me a break collingwood. We lack ball winners not handball receivers.
If this happens i'll just about give up i reckon, dont know if the pain is worth it.
if someone has a mark or free kick, davey just stands next to them and receives a handball without thinking what'll happen next, usually just gets them into trouble because he tries to kick a low training drill pass, flipping hell, he's one of my most hated players, over-rated.
after malthouse talked about our weaknesses, ball winners etc, ok lets solve these by recruiting davey, it beggars belief.
Is this malthouse? is it walsh? more than likely it's both, i am absolutely staggered.
Cant wait for davey to re-sign, i'm monitoring it daily.
Only trade our pick for an upgrade, if we want butcher or the like.
