OX thinks Melbourne should recruit Ty Vickery. Not sure I would take any notice of anything he says.

While Francis looked good, lets see how he goes against an AFL quality side before we give him too big a wrap.

is he gonna be your second tall or third tall? him and daniher will be exciting.

Francis is now in his second year at the Bombers & has been out of favour, with fit players being favoured over the bustling red head.

The concerns have been that his skin fold tests have him in the 45-50 range & body fat in the 40> range (morbidity obese catogary). He played a game earlier in the year with 40% TOG & was required to be rested for a month afterwards. His 3k time trial from club insiders was in the +20 minute range which is on the poorer side for elite sportsman.

Originally from SA & would obviously have friends & family back there. Two fold question; would a SA club be interested in his services? Would the Bombers be interested in cashing in whilst his value is still in the 2nd-3rd round range?

Talent is obvious, ticker beats quickly. Discuss.

This is a joke right?

Lol this will be fun. Saints fans are very keen on Francis.
He missed first 3 rds of the season with an ankle. Rested only once in rd6 and missed rd 9 with a groin. Rest of the season has played VFL or AFL. So he was never rested for a month.
2 AFL games this year time on ground was 79% for Rd5 and 85% for Rd7 (Source AFL website) so that isn't 40%.
Rested only for round Rd6 due to the short turnaround between ANZAC day match (Rd5) and the Melbourne match (Rd6).
Started the season playing forward including the 2 AFL games and is now playing defence in the VFL.
Skinfolds and Time trial times I have never seen so can't verify that, although fitness is an issue. Maybe McCartin and Francis can hire a specialist fitness coach this off-season both seem to be about at the same level of fitness from matches I've seen most likely due to injuries constantly interrupting them thus far.
He won't be traded and after a big preseason will be ready to have a big impact in 2018.

Willing to give him a full pre-season and hope he comes good next year.

Won't say I am not frustrated in his development so far but we knew it was going to be a slow build.

Think we won't see him plying regular footy until 2019. Hoping the wait is worth it though as talent is off the charts.

Tracking fine at the moment, hopefully he gets a full pre season and pushes for selection in round 1. Is very happy at the club and the feeling is mutual
