australia still have 2 odi's to play.

1. ponting
2. hussey
3. gilchrist

4 - 8. lee, warne, symonds, s clark, m clarke
to round out the top 10 will be the likes of hayden, watson, bracken, mcgrath.

TEST player of the year - ponting to beat hussey with warne, s clark and gilly making up the top 5.

ODI player of the year - the last 2 odi's may well decide who wins this. its tight between our gun 5 batsmen and lee and bracko may have a sniff with 2 BOG'S this week.

I think that only Ponting and Hussey have a chance at the AB medal. Ponting will get the Test player and Hussey will get the ODI player.

Ponting is an absoulte certainty for the AB medal...and a very good chance at the clean sweep. I've got Hussey as coming 2nd and then 3rd will be out of Gilchrist, Lee, Clarke & Symonds.

Test Player of the Year should be Ponting with Hussey & Warne to fight out 2nd spot....Gilchrist would also be an outsider to get in the placings.

ODI Player of the Year is much tougher to pick. At this stage I've got Ponting just in front of Clarke, Bracken & Watson - with Symonds, Hussey & Lee on the next rung behind... Bracken could be a real value bet here - very consistent year & could poll in the most games, but get a lot of 1's and not many 2's or 3's.

I've tracked this fairly closely this year - and will be putting my money where my mouth is - generally its a pretty easy award to win money on

Has Gilly really had that good a year.
I thoought he was a bit disappointing this year and would be surpriised if he finished top 3 but I suppose due to the number of matches his played he probably will.
