Brisbane were far more desperate on the night.

To be honest, I'm not sure there's much in this. The media desperately overhypes every single incident at every club, both Ablett and Varcoe still have 2 days to be ready.

I'm more worried about Nathan Ablett missing again. His absence was felt against Essendon (for 3 quarters anyway), and Hawkins still has a long way to go.

Doesn't matter anyway, whatever happens there are no excuses.
