Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

WILL UPDATE LIST IF I HERE RUMORS ABOUT CLUBS WANTING PLAYERS

Rate My Phantom Draft By Voting In Poll.

Pick 1:
Melbourne: Tom Scully
The best player in the draft and has been put here since day 1. Good kick shrugs tackles and gets a lot of it. Very much like Judd.

Pick 2:
Melbourne: Jack Trengove:
He is up there with Scully, very skilled and shrugs tackles. Butcher was a certainty to go here earlier in the year but how things have changed.

Pick 3:

Richmond: Dustin Martin
Great draft camp and great championships was expected to go to North, but his stocks have risen massively. Described as a Simon Black.

Picks 4:
Fremantle: Anthony Morabito
Super player and likened to an Adam Goodes no doubt he would have gone to Richmond or Melbourne if he was Victorian but as a WA man the Dockers will take him.

Pick 5:
North Melbourne: Ben Cunnington
Very skilled inside midfielder. Imagine in 4-5 years time if North draft him, they will have Ziebell, Swallow and Cunnington they would be the clearance kings dishing it out to Anthony and Wells. Butcher could also go here but i think Cunnington is the sort of player Scott would want. Hoping Robbie Tarrant will get on the park.

Pick 6:
Sydney: John Butcher
Sydney would be stoked he was dropped a heap and earlier in the year was expected to got top 2. Once he gets his kicking and fitness right he will be a monster. Great addition to Sydney but next year would be looking for some quality midfielders.

Picks 7:
West Coast: Kane Lucas
Taking another WA boy and will be very happy he is highly skilled and can play midfield and forward. Good addition to the team hoping to build another great midfield with Masten and Priddis.

Pick 8:
Port Adelaide: Luke Tapscott
A super kick that comes from Adelaide so their is not go home factor just like Panos. Will fit well into the midfield and in a few years you will hear Tapscott to Panos.

Pick 9:

Port Adelaide: Gary Rohan
To good to pass on he won the kicking test and is a super quick ranga. Port would have like Panos but Rohan is good but must be consistent. Port would be stoked he has fallen this far and he is a match winner.

Pick 10:
Essendon: Koby Stevens
Need another gun mid to go with Watson and Stanton. Stevens is a very good inside mid who should help with clearances a heap. Good fit fort he bombers who need mids.

Pick 11:
Melbourne: Matthew Panos
Need a good key forward to go with Watts. They would have hoped that Butcher could slide, but Panos is not to far behind Butcher and should fit in well. After drafting mids with first 2 picks.

Pick 12:

Carlton: Daniel Talia
Need Key Forwards and Backs, he was named as CHB in AA U/18's so would be a good fit. They could push Waite forward and playing him down back to fill the gap that Fev left.

Pick 13:
Adelaide: Brad Sheppard
No real needs have a great forward line and good backline but backline is getting old so may as well improve it with a good halfback/midfielder in Brad Sheppard.

Pick 14:

Sydney: Jordan Gysberts
Taking Butcher with Pick 6 they will be looking for a midfielder so Gysberts will go here. Syndey would not play him to go this early but they need a mid so he is their man.

Pick 15:
Western Bulldogs: Ben Griffiths
Barry Hall will only last 2 years and when he is gone Griffiths would have matured and would make a big target up forward. With dogs midfield and backline stong a young gun forward is what they need.

Pick 16:
Port Adelaide: Aaron Black
Again took 2 mids with their first choice so they will go a key forward with Tredrea ageing and Westoff now showing much so Black will be a great addition even though he is from WA they should feel safe with him. Will get great service from Tapscott and Rohan.

Pick 17:
Geelong: Nathan Vardy
No real need here but having traded Mumford they will need a new ruckman so Vardy is there man. He is the best ruckman in the draft and he a great tap ruckman.

MAY DO MORE LATER. VOTE IN POLL ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK OF MY PHANTOM DRAFT.

Re: Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

Not sure if Jackson Trengove is eligible for this years draft. Might want to check out Port Adelaide's list

Re: Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

seems to be a pattern starting with phantom drafts so i just gave it average because no real exciting twists or smokies

Re: Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

Why does everyone think the Dogs need a young Key Forward? We already have Grant, Cordy, Roughead, Boumann and Jones developing in the position which is more than enough to make up for Hall's retirement. Bookmark it, there is absolutely no chance the Bulldogs will take Griffiths in this draft. For the first round, it's out of Talia, Sheppard, Jetta and Best Available.

Just thought dogs had no real need. Backline was good. Midfield was good. Have a lot of good small forwards so a young key forward was left.

Re: Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

All these PD's are virtually the same. And they all seem to have Panos coming to Melb. I doubt he'll go top 20.

Re: Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

panos and stevens wont go that early, but otherwise its pretty solid effort

Re: Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

it would be interesting bookmark all the posts where people come in huffing and puffing with the "theres NO WAY my team will be taking _______"

Re: Absolute Gun's Phantom Draft

At this time of year, you really need to start doing at least 3 rounds for it to be a decent phantom draft. I give it a 3.

Version 2......
Changed on things i have heard.

Wishing he would drop down to North.

Pick 6:
Sydney: Gary Rohan
Sydney would be happy to take him they do not need any more power forwards but needs midfielders and he is great and will add a bit of X-Factor to the team.

Picks 7:
West Coast: Kane Lucas
Taking another WA boy and will be very happy he is highly skilled and can play midfield and forward. Good addition to the team hoping to build another great midfield with Masten and Priddis.

Pick 8:
Port Adelaide: Luke Tapscott
A super kick that comes from Adelaide so their is not go home factor. Will fit well into the midfield and in a few years you will hear Tapscott to Butcher.

Pick 9:
Port Adelaide: John Butcher
Port would be stoked he was dropped a heap and earlier in the year was expected to got top 2. Once he gets his kicking and fitness right he will be a monster. Great addition to Port but next pick would be looking for some more quality midfielders.

Pick 10:
Essendon: Koby Stevens
Need another gun mid to go with Watson and Stanton. Stevens is a very good inside mid who should help with clearances a heap. Good fit for the bombers who need mids. Has gone earlier than expected but the bombers just need another quality mid.

Pick 11:
Melbourne: Matthew Panos
Need a good key forward to go with Watts. They would have hoped that Butcher could slide, but Panos is not to far behind Butcher and should fit in well. After drafting mids with first 2 picks. Again gone earlier than expected but they need a FF to go with Watts.

Pick 14:
Sydney: Lewis Jetta
Adds a bit more speed along with Rohan. Imagine Rohan and Jetta on both wings for Sydney in a few years they will be running circles around their opponents.

Pick 15:
Western Bulldogs: Allan Christensen
Another midfielder for the dogs seeing they have no real needs. He adds a bit of X-Factor and excitement to the dogs to help out their midfield.

Pick 16:

Port Adelaide: Jake Melksham
Going with a mid and a forward with their first 2 picks they should go another midfielder with a solid backline. Melksham will go well with Boak, Tapscott Hartlett ect.

Pick 17:
Geelong: Nathan Vardy
No real need here but having traded Mumford they will need a new ruckman so Vardy is there man. He is the best ruckman in the draft and he a great tap ruckman.
