AC/DC’S BLACK ICE WORLD TOUR
AUSTRALIAN DATES CONFIRMED
FEBRUARY & MARCH 2010
TICKETS ON SALE MONDAY 25TH MAY, 2009

AC/DC the greatest rock and roll band on the planet, who have sold over 200 million records worldwide, return home to Australia in February 2010 as part of the Black Ice World Tour.

It will be the band’s first Australian tour since January 2001 and will - without any question - produce the most spectacular rock shows ever staged in this country.

Joining AC/DC on the Black IceAustralian tour as special guests is the Grammy and ARIA Award winning band Wolfmother.

AC/DC will blast their way through each of the five major capital cities where they will appear at outdoor stadiums with one of the largest stage productions ever seen. The production will be moved around the country by 48 semi-trailers during February and March 2010.

Tickets for this Rock and Roll EXTRAVAGANZA go on sale on:
Monday 25th May, 2009
There will be two ticket prices: $99 and $149.90

Dates on the Black Ice world tour in the US and Europe have sold out virtually as quickly as they were announced and the performances themselves have left the critics raving:

AC/DC remain the gold standard for arena spectacle rock’n’roll.”
The Times (UK)
“Rock ‘n’ roll that outlasts time.”
It's been way too long since someone tore the roof off the place like this.”
Orange County Register (LA)

The Australian tour comes on the back of the release of the hugely successful Black Ice album. Released on October 20, 2008 on Albert Productions and distributed by Sony Music, Black Ice sold close to 2 million copies globally in the first week of release and debuted at the number one spot in a staggering 29 countries.

Black Ice is AC/DC’s first new album in over eight years and it’s evident the band is still an incredible force in rock.

Black Ice has been certified Multi Platinum in eighteen countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Italy, Argentina and the Czech Republic.

Additionally Black Ice has achieved Platinum status in five countries (including the UK and Spain) and Gold status in four countries (including The Netherlands, Poland and Brazil). With over 6.5 million copies of Black Ice shipped worldwide, combined with over 5.5 million in catalogue sold last year, AC/DC has surpassed The Beatles as the #1 selling catalogue artist in the US for 2008.

Don’t miss the rock event of the decade which is heading to Australia in February and March 2010!

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely cannot wait!!!!! :D :D <-- I was actually smiling more than this guy when I read that this morning.

Obviously hoping for TD tickets, but if not, Adelaide or Sydney here I come!

With the gaps between shows it wouldn't surprise me if more shows are scheduled when the first ones sell out.

It's AC/DC Mania!

First Sydney and Melbourne shows sell out in 15 mins. 110,000 tickets sold in 45 minutes and a third Melbourne show announced.

Haven't seen 'em since their '88 World Tour!! And saw them Twice on that tour (exact same set list :() which included a chance in meeting the lads. :) Possibly the most immaculate Concert Sound Engineering you'll ever care to hear.. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: with one gig at TD already under my belt, I reckon it'll be twice as Brilliant if the Sound Engineering can pull off another stirring performance behind the tuning knobs.

And to think there are some on BF who thoroughly enjoyed Cheap Trick last year, (horrible sound engineering, just plain embarrassing really) , then AC/DC are a sinc to get more rave reviews!!

Why would somebody want to listen to 60-year-old men dancing and singing about their exploits with women (and so forth)?

Pass.

Not ya thing eh? Stick to your snoozefest AFL pre-season then.

You can actually question any band you don't like for the 'love' of following a sport/ league that, funnily enough, lacks integrity and entertainment wise, not really up to scratch for what the media make it out to be. AFL has lost me as a fan, that's for sure. AC/DC isn't for the faint of hearts either.
