Mostly if you change the exercise, so you aren't just doing sit-ups (which only targets one area), instead you do crunches/twists/leg raises/curls etc.. do 50 of each different one and you'll be able to get to 400 in no time.

I'm thinking of doing twists at the moment but still waiting till i hit a higher situp amount. my way of doing it is not to think of the 400....don't count 399 etc. count up in 10s...1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 2, etc. once this is repeated up to an amount I'm happy with, I stop. I really can't wait to do 1000. Like I said, it's so weird but so addictive!
