Rnd 4 Essendon at Footy Park ( After Essendon travel via Brisbane the week before)

Rnd 5 Port ( Nightgame showdown)

Rnd 10 Brisbane (Nightgame at home)

Rnd 22 Freo away ( We wont take it lightly this time coz it might mean top spot
:) :) :)

Not sure about our away games:

3 @ Colonial Stadium
2 @ Optus
1 @ Manuka
1 @ Cattery
2 @ Subiaco
1 @ SCG

No games at the MCG is disappointing - would prefer to play there instead of games at Manuka, Baytec &/or Optus.

Also, whilst playing Freo twice is usually a good thing, playing them in the last round at Subiaco on a Sunday is not good for finals preparation. Would have thought it was the Power's turn to play away in round 22 this year.

Teams to play twice: Bulldogs, Geelong, Sydney, Essendon, Port, Richmond & Fremantle.
=> 2 better teams (Dons, Power) , 3 mid-range teams (Bullies, Swans, Richmond), 2 easier teams (Geelong, Freo)

Teams to play once: Kangaroos, Carlton, Brisbane, Hawthorn, Melbourne, West Coast, Collingwood, St Kilda.
=> 2 better teams (Brisbane, Hawks), 4 mid-range teams (Roos, Carlton, Melbourne, Collingwood), 2 easier teams (Weagles, Saints)

So I reckon the split of teams playing once v twice is reasonably fair.

Is anyone else completely, bloody sick of playing the Bulldogs in Round 1? How many times has that happened since 1992?

Not happy about no games at the G. I want us to win at least the first 3 games, I'm sick of this 0-5 and 0-3 rubbish of the past few years.

Other than that it seems alright.

Overall, I'm reasonably happy as a crows fan, if we're good enough, this draw won't be a hindrance.

As others have said, very disappointed not to have any Crow games scheduled at the MCG. I love to see Macca, Goody and Roo strut their stuff on the wide expanses of the 'G', but I guess that'll have to wait until September. ;) :D

The first five are alive

Although playing the Dogs first up does seem familiar, its been mostly on our on dungheap hasnt it?

We would fancy the Bullys at Colonial cow paddock; an the next two should be gimmees.

The next two are certainly not beyond us as I alluded to before;therefore, wouldnt 5 zip be nice for a change:D

My favourite hobby horse each year. Why are we playing Carlton at Optus Oval again. Thats the 12th year in a row and yet they have been to Footy Park only five times. Port have played them on the other hand each year at Footy Park (and will do so again next year). Thats 6 times in 6 years at the Park for them, work that one out!!!

Jerome, we've played them in Round 1 three times already (1992, 1999, 2000) and we've lost every time.

Conspiracy Kirky. We've played them 18 times and only 5 at Footy Park. 2 of the 13 were finals - but that still means that the Home and Away record is 5-11. I thought the draw was supposed to even out things like this?
