Nah, where paying Carey under-the-table payments through the way of sexual favours from Edwards' mum. So take $150000 of the salary.

Cheers.

The biggest shock as come out of South Australia today more so the Adelaide Crows. Justin Koschitzke Adelaide's Vice Captain has asked the club if he could be traded by the end of the deadline due too a fall out with Team Mangers.

Justin Koschitzke had this too say about the looming trade:
Myself and Adelaide have decided to call it a day, due to the fact that i want different things out of Football than the Adelaide Football Club has to offer me.

Gary (Adelaide's Football Manager) had this to say about Justin Koschitzke:
Yes it is true the Adelaide Football Club and Justin Koschitzke will depart, due to the party's heading in different directions.
The Adelaide Football Club wishes Justin Koschitzke all the best in the future.

Justin (Coach) had no comment.

The Adelaide Football Club will want the right deal for this Justin Koschitzke one of the best young talents going around at only 21 years of age.
Justin Koschitzke will be gone at the end of the trading week.

If you would like to talk deals contact:
Gary at stabbing_the_dead@hotmail.com
or
Justin at justin3337@hotmail.com
Both have Msn.

Thankyou.

After all the wheeling and dealing of mid season trade only one player departed the Adelaide Crows.

The player to leave the Crows Nest was Tyson Edwards bound for West Coast, we wish him all the best.
The player Comming to the Crows Nest is Brad Green a 24 year old midfield player who has made a swiff move from the Forward line to the Midfield where the Crows see him as a long term player to help out the Midfield and we can even build a team around him.

The Crows have keep young guns Johncock and Koschitzke after a number of big name trades failed to happen.

Gary: Koschitzke is happy to be a Crow after fixing the problem between him and the coaching staff, Now that it is all over the AFC hopes to get some wins up on the board and make a run for the finals.

Adelaide record a lost this week after 5 straight wins.

Coach Gary said: Well we had a rare lost this week one that we through we should have won lets just hope it doesn't come back to get us at the end of the Home and Away Season. You just can't win a game when none of your players score over 100 points and your players get early injuries or are carrying poor form. Where hoping that we can get back some injuried players or out of form players making players work for there spots it would also be handy to be able to have some players on teh interchange.
It will also be a tough game next week playing a side that is based around or just above us i think in West Coast at West Coast it will be like a Mini Final for us and i think the next two weeks would decide our season.
Players still to come in include names like Goodwin, Coughlan, O'Bree, Kellaway, Montgomery are just some of the names missing from the Adelaide line up.
So we still know that we have some sharp players to come back in that will add some fire power to us.
But there was no excuse for the game against Carlton. It didn't even look like the players want to win. It was disgusting Footy played the boys and they can expect a hard week on the track.

Cheers ~~ Gaz ~~

Crows re-vamp list

The Adelaide Crows have re-vamped their list in the recent trade period in a bid to strenghten then squad in a bid to win the premiership. As is the case at times when new coaches take over, the Crows were savage at the trade table, letting go of many highly performing players.
Whole-Sale changes were made at the club with various big names receiveing the bad news that they had been traded.

Nathan Bock, Nathan G Brown, Justin Sherman, Martin Mattner, Cameron Bruce, Trent Hentschel, Ian Perrie, Byron Pickett, Russell Robertson, Daniel Ward and Scott Welsh rounded out the group of senior players that all found new homes. The Crows also had to sacrifice a 1st round selection , along with a 2nd and 3rd rounder in order to get what they wanted.

Furthermore, Ben Hart, Brett Montgomery, Andrew Kellaway, Stuart Cochrane and Chris Ladhams were all told their services were no longer required at the club and will hopefully be looking for new homes for next season.

Coach andrew_embley was pleased with the players he received in return during the hectic week, and hoped that they will add to the squad in someway.

Gary Ablett jnr, Andrew Embley, Brendan Fevola, Darren Jolly, Mark Lecras, Brad Smith, Andrew McDougall, Sam Mitchell, Sam Power, Paul Haselby, Jordan Russell, Byron Schammer and Elijah Ware all are welcomed additions to the Crows new look outfit.
The Crows also elevated youngster Jaymie Graham onto the senior list for the upcoming season.

"Very pleased with proceedings", spoke the coach recently ," we had our eyes on several players and are more than happy with the group we have now put together."

"They all add something different. Fev and the untried Smith with their goalkicking ability, and guys like Schammer, Haselby, Embley, Ablett and Mitchell with their ball winning capability. We also found a good ruckman in Darren Jolly and a bit of young blood with Ware, Russell and LeCras."

Crows take Minor Premiership

(Its a bit belated i know, and i've also lost a few finals also,...but) . The Adelaide Crows have taken out this years minor premiership.

In his first season as coach of the Crows, mananger Embley has taken the side to the top of the ladder, just outsting Melbourne on percentage.

Crows dealt blow on eve of season 08

The Adelaide Crows have been dealt a massive injury blow on the eve of the 2008 season with running defender Nick Malceski and all australian Paul Haselby both out for the year with ruptured ACLs.

Both players were set for vital roles in the crows starting 18 and with their seasons now over they leave a massive hole in the side.

Coach andrew_embley has taken a more positive view on the injuries, claiming his side has the depth to cover the losses.

"We got a fair few quality players during the offseason so i rekon we can cover the loss. Plus we have a lot of young potential in the squad and we haven't factored starting those players into our first 18."

"So if these players do indeed come good this season and have breakthrough years, we could see them start for us and give us more scoring power to play with"

Crows sit 2nd despite injuries

Adelaide manager andrew embley has spoken in great volmes of his side, and their 2nd position on the ladder despite injuries. The crows were dealt serious pre-season blows with Paul Haselby and Nick Malceksi both suffering season ending knee injuries. On top of that, Key Position player Rhett Biglands also had a 2nd knee reco in successive years and a host of other players missed/have missed games.

"We have covered well so far, but injuries are taking its toll. Its a testament to the players that we sit 2nd, but the season lasts more than 5 rounds"

"A lot of the players we have lost wont be back this season so it will be a challenge, but its up to the guys we have to really step up"

"Blokes like Houli, Bird and McVeigh have really stood up so far and cemented spots in the starting 18, and we are hoping this is only just the start of long careers for them at the Crows"

The Crows current injury list reads:

Andrejs Everitt
Paul Hasleby
Mark Le Cras
Nick Malceski
Beau Muston
Tom Williams
Rhett Biglands
Steven Baker (back from suspension this round)
