Nothing that happened on that camp could match the hysteria that followed it. If it was that bad there wouldnt be such silence

Will end up being something really dumb no doubt but in the end makes the players look like sooks for it still being talked about all these years

Fair call there but it was super publicized where everyone knows what happened right? Like there isn't anything like the innuendo there is compared to this camp?

Not so much to keep quiet but just protect the “brand” of the AFL and Adelaide crows NDA’s would be common practice across all clubs for players leaving individual clubs and the game overall

You get one when you leave most large companies in most industries these days

They were muzzled by the club which is why it leaked via the media. What went wrong at the camp will likely prove to be pretty boring in my opinion. The big story is how poorly the club dealt with those that were unhappy and how it destroyed the trust between players and management. Our 'leader', Rory Sloane, fronting the media saying how great it was for him and how it made him a better husband, father, son and teammate didn't help much either. Then after promising the club were done with them, Pyke brought them back in before the 90 point drubbing by the Demons in Alice Springs.

Club was a total shit show under Fagan, Burton and Pyke.

Agree, for an NDA to be binding there would need to be some level of consideration such as a payment. I sign them every now and then for my work, and I don’t get anything specific in return except my fortnightly pay I would always get. If your salary is enough to make it binding then it would be binding for the Crows.

I doubt there are NDAs. I think it’s more likely a combination of the players who were really shaken up have put it behind them to a degree or don’t want the hassle of the attention speaking about it would bring, and the ones that weren’t phased don’t think there’s anything to talk about.

Now Betts has retired, if there were racial insensitivities as was suggested, I think he is likely to go into it publicly. It looks like he’s going to do an Adam Goodes style education campaign but is starting with much better public good will so will probably be much more effective. I wish him luck. Even if someone like Betts did sign a binding NDA, the Crows would be foolish to try and enact it unless they thought Betts was lying. Using legal avenues just makes you look bad and like you’ve got something to hide.

If only Jason Akermanis had been at the Crows! We would’ve heard everything (in his mind) in amongst claims of god-like golfing prowess and can’t-miss cryptocurrency.

It’s not him
Privately he won’t mingle with certain people that were involved

The South Australian Government’s independent workplace safety regulator has cleared the Adelaide Football Club of any wrongdoing in relation to its pre-season training camp in 2018.

SafeWork SA’s comprehensive investigation, which took more than a year to complete, found neither the Club nor any other person or organisation breached any work health and safety laws during or in relation to the camp.

The Club fully co-operated with the confidential investigation, voluntarily providing all information and documentation sought by SafeWork SA. The matter is now closed.

I couldn't be sure; approval from Crows fans doesn't consume my mind like it would yours as a Port fan

It's one of those things where I just have to accept that I simply couldn't understand, even if I tried.

that quite literally doesn't exist, even if it did how do you equate posting about how their players handled a wooden dildo and were forced to humiliate themselves around a campfire to trying to gain approval from their fanbase lol
