Actually, my brother used to use that as his Facebook profile pic.

So, I've recently picked up Ai CS6 opposed to CC which I was using, but now whenever I open things I made on CC, everything is in a big group, with everything made up of clip groups, and nothings in the order I had it when using CC.
Do I have to go through and group everything again in its places?
Is there anything I can do?

Bump...I'm getting a hang of Ai , I can use pen tool , curve tool adequately. I have become more proficient with clipping masks (thanks Greater Gadsby for the tut) and the transform tool (changing X and Y axis' - thanks Mero) for making hoops and stripes exact. However I have one question to ask , how would one make a sash like the Footscray one below using different colours within the sash and then get the curve on the sash. The one I did below was just on hand / eye co-ordination. I normally (as it works for me) draw guides in a vertical rectangle in the width of a sash ( old thin one for the time being ) and then use the curve tool to plot my outline , then deselect > direct select tool to highlight outline > then manipulate the curve by adjusting the handles. Is there a more direct way to do the sash with curve AND adding different colors to said sash?. Thanks for any help , Old Chap.

What I do in Photoshop (and I'm sure it can be used here) is have the original image (in a new document) in a layer and in a separate layer above the original I trace each part of the sash. Then duplicate or move the layers into the template file.

Thanks Bryce_Jersey17 , I will give that a go and thanks for posting that method up:thumbsu:.

What I do (and how I made that jumper) is draw the line of the sash with the pen tool.
Use only stroke, make the Fill colour transparent.
Then increase the stroke value until you're happy with the middle sash.
Ctrl-C, Ctrl-B places a copy of itself behind.
Select this line and change the Stroke colour, and then change the stroke value until you're happy with the width.
Do this again and you have three sashes on top of each other.

Thank you Mero , it's a bit late to ask but is it ok to use your jumpers on FJ as a visual guide? (I've been doing that:oops:) , That's how I go about trying to get my jumpers right and I get the color right by using the color picker on Ai and create new swatches that way.

This is a link to the BLK palette.
Download the palette and paste it into your Swatches directory.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS4\Presets\en_GB\Swatches
(you might have a different version, and you might use en-US but the rest should be the same.)
When you open Illustrator you can open your Swatches either by either clicking in the bottom left corner of your Swatch tab, or Window>Swatch Library.
The palette will be in your Swatches as BLK palette.
These are the colours as used in this pdf: https://www.thistlesports.com/admin...er/data/files/UK2015CatalogueFinalforweb5.pdf
Plenty of templates to download and use if you're into that sort of thing. (rugby, soccer, footy, athletics)
(find the page you want, open the pdf in Illustrator on that page, delete everything on the page you do want, save it as a new file name)

Good morning all, I'm not sure whether this is the right thread to ask this and forgive me if someone has already asked this question. I'm curious to know just what font the small numbers on the breast of WAFL jumpers were / are from the 1980's (e.g Subiaco , South Fremantle etc.). Thanks in advance for any help.
