Mods - Can we sticky this ?

Was listening to SEN and they said that James Fantasia was very happy with proceedings today and that he is looking forward to the rest of the week.

They said he had a big smile on his face and was in a very good mood.

On sport927 they had heard the crows had secured the kangas first 2 picks #3 & #21 for adelaides first 2 picks & knights and meeson?

Thats not the case at all.

Meesen is a required player, especially with Craigy ruling out trading for a ruckman.

That would be ridiculous.

yeh trade week is about gossip, who cares about real trades.

we can just get that off afl.com.au and + no doubt someone will make a new thread about it anyway.

this thread is pointless otherwise.

This trade sounds like bull.

Firstly, we desperately need to hold onto Meesen, and secondly, the Kangas already have 2 of the best young rucks in the league (Hale / McIntosh).

What do you plan to do with your black and white cat?

Great Avatar! We have been calling Shirley, Laverne from Day one but it hasn't caught on with the fans around us!!

No.

Who wants a thread with 3 posts in it?

I want to hear everything people have heard, it's fun.

Go to the main board then.

If thats what you want, you can go to the Draft and Trading Board. There are plenty of bull**** threads there. We even have one thread where the trades are being discussed. Having 2 is pointless.

Might as well merge the 2 threads now

Please stay on topic, thankyou.

Trade wrap: Clokes in limbo
10 October 2006 Herald-Sun

COLLINGWOOD brothers Cameron and Jason Cloke had feelers yesterday without a confirmation.

Their father, David, said last night: "There's been some interest from what I've been told . . . but where it goes from here who knows at the moment.

"If nothing does happen in trade week they can go into the national and pre-season drafts."

Essendon has been linked with Jason Cloke.

Milne gets zip

ST KILDA offered up goalsneak Stephen Milne yesterday, but got zip interest.

Dees ready to talk

MELBOURNE is happy to talk turkey about defenders Paul Wheatley and Ryan Ferguson.

Toby up for grabs

TROUBLED Port Adelaide forward Toby Thurstans is up for grabs.

Tigers plan ahead

RICHMOND goalsneak Andrew Krakouer is available as the Tigers try to find room in their salary cap to make a play for Docker Graham Polak.

Dogs duo offer

THE Western Bulldogs have offered up goalsneak Cameron Faulkner and tough midfielder Shane Birss.

Crows eye Bolton

ADELAIDE made it known Hayden Skipworth and Luke Jericho were available for trade and showed some interest in Essendon's Mark Bolton.

Freo wields axe

FREMANTLE axed Daniel Haines from its list after 16 games. The club has also advised Jack Juniper, Joe Krieger and Toby Stribling that they would not have a position on the rookie list for 2007.

Russell walks out

CARLTON youngster Jordan Russell, the No. 9 pick in the 2004 national draft, has joined teammate Bret Thornton and is walking out on the Blues.

The 19-year-old is being lured back to his home state of South Adelaide by Port Adelaide. Russell is out of contract with the Power keen to secure him.
I will be very very disappointed if we secure Bolton :thumbsd:

The other deal mentioned ...that of Daniel Bell....well that would be a fantastic get.

The last game against Melbourne he was the rock in their defence .....a fine player that would be a great asset!!!

Hopefully a deal can be done

Crows keen to ring-in a Bell

FORMER Glenelg reserves player Daniel Bell - a first-round draft pick by Melbourne in 2002 - could return to SA as Adelaide's only play in AFL trade week.
Also in the Crows' trade plans is Essendon tagger Jay Nash, drafted from Central District at the end of the 2003 season. But Adelaide yesterday - as trade talks opened at AFL House at Telstra Dome in Melbourne - made no move on ruckmen or on its other major need, a key forward such as Collingwood full forward Chris Tarrant.

Rather the Crows - with trade-bait no club bit at, or late-order draft picks - yesterday worked to the "bring 'em home" theme with 21-year-old Bell and Nash, 20, who can help strengthen Adelaide's midfield.

"We won't be doing anything big," said Adelaide football operations manager John Reid in Melbourne. "We could have one little deal."

Bell, who could play on a wing or at half-back to release Graham Johncock to the Adelaide midfield, and Nash will be gained with the Crows' first offering of trade bait.

It is understood Adelaide put up Luke Jericho and Jack Oatey Medallist Hayden Skipworth but no club showed interest.

Nash might break free from Essendon where the Bombers want to clear salary cap space.

This challenge prompted Essendon to serve up Dean Solomon and Jason Johnson to Port Adelaide. The Power did not move on the 26-year-old Solomon or 28-year-old Johnson, who could move to Fremantle.

From what I can see from the stats it would be a good pick up. Haven't seen too much of them though? Thoughts?
