Gallucci has done 2/5th's of **** all on field this year yet you want to reward him with a call up.

.
True but we are rewarding senior players by continually picking them, setting a standard thats easy to reach.

Its not about ''rewarding'' a Gallucci but sending a message to a senior player that coasting wont cut it. Its a fine line player management but nothing stings a player more when he thinks he is A grade and he is kicking dew off the grass.

That’s two good games in a row for poholke. Another 12 or 13 of those and he might get his name put forward at selection.

Wouldn’t dropping Gibbs and playing Poholke send a message. But fact is that there’s only about 4 or 5 players in our 22 that are subject to being dropped. Murphy and Jones after 2 bad games in a row, Rat and Harto after 4 and Mackay after about 10. Otherwise every other player is locked in barring injury, even then, we’ll carry them out of form and injured to a reasonable extent. The worse we get, the worse it gets because our selectors are paralysed with fear.

Not everyone is Matthew Pavlich.

The experiment isn't working and we are in dire need of a forward.... And you want to keep him in defence.

Utter madness.

It doesn’t matter because none of our AFL forwards are subject to being dropped. He’s next forward up anyway but playing down back in the SANFL doubles his chances of being an injury replacement.

Not really, he's had his pants pulled down.

I wouldn't pick him to be an AFL defender. I do wish we would drop or 'rest' a KPF, maybe against the Suns.

If we lose 2 KPDs it’ll be him or Otten. I’m comfortable with Otto as an undersized KPD but all I’ve read this year is that he’s beyond cooked. I haven’t seen him at all.

Last week he was OK, but they both got smashed last night.

I wish they would just play FOG at CHF and tell him to roam, get him up into the midfield and double back.

His leading patterns are great but he would be lost in our AFL side at the moment

Second piece of advice from an old bastard. There is no one left now Dude has gone who is STRONG overhead. It's a bit embarrasing list management wise.

I was at the game Friday night. Watched every minute. Fog is not quick enough for AFL. No discussion.
Fog is plenty fast enough to play as lead up/contested marking forward. If you watched every minute as you say I'm surprised you didn't see Fogarty was like a duck out of water playing on the last line of defence....and a pretty disinterested one at that with his confidence looking absolutely shot. I just hope and pray that is the end of the KPD experiment for the lad.

Missed the game, and without reading through the thread what position did Scholl play?

It's hard to rate the forwards this year. Himmelberg has the same issues as Tex and JJ, we just don't ever kick it to our forwards advantage at all. Whoever designed that part of the gameplan is a serious bonehead.

Yep, in the SANFL it looked we were outnumbered by 2-3 in the forward line at all times, and were playing from behind. Really idiotic structures

If Ben Hart is the best forward line coach who is willing to work for us, we should probably hand our licence back in.

He's not the best, but he is the cheapest. And also a good bloke you'd seriously want to give him multiple chances even though he was awful at Collingwood and can't get a job elsewhere because of it.

That's the problem, nobody else wants to work with us. Generally, for good reason.

He gets the ass from us, we see success - he then goes to Collingwood, they end up being average. He gets the ass from Collingwood - funnily enough, they end up in the GF. Now it would be unfair to solely put that on him, but shit he's an average coach.

Don't think that's true, it's money and nepotism more than anything. Pyke had Longmuir and Sumich ready to come over, Walsh got Teague and could have gotten Lade, Longmuir and Glass if he was allowed.

Across half back with good run and outstanding delivery by foot, i honestly only saw one kick that didn't hit it's mark all night. Butts was also quite good. Fogarty was abysmal and Otten only marginally better.

Yeah nah.. not many yes men in that list that’s why it didn’t happen. They don’t suit the choir boy / boys club theme either.

What Ive heard and dont know if its true but we had Ben Hart all set to take over from Okeefe as SANFL Coach. Then Francou left at the last moment meaning we were short a forward coach. So rather than looking last minute we just moved the deck chairs and put Hart back in and asked Younie as Development Manager to coach the SANFL side.

Some good signs from Jordy G. His burst down the outer wing when he hit a leading Himmelberg with a bullet, then kept going to take the hand pass was classic Gooch.

Surely not far away as we need his pace around the ball
We need to get games into Galluci to get him up to speed for our future.
