Re: Fixing up the AFL games

Just when you think you're out...they pull you right back in....

Nah, I have a deadline for tomorrow so my input will be minimal till late tomorrow. It's a crucial milestone in the development of the game so I'll be able to answer more definitively what will and what won't be in the game.

Thanks for your patience, understanding and most of all your interest in the thread!

So, the game will be out in August/September again.
hopefully i think maybe round 5 but id be ********ed if it was like august/september. last years timing was terrible. it was released in GRAND FINAL WEEK. after that, nobody plays footy and seldom thinks about it for about 5 months.

Re: Fixing up the AFL games

hey man to backup my create a player thing, downlaod and play this

http://footystar.bravehost.com/

makes me realise how much fun it is to make a player of yerself. this game is bloody fun too. jsut the whole "creating a player of yourself" thing i love. not making stats riggable like in footystar (have a cap on points like ur given 500 points spend em how ya like) kinda thing.

PLEASE CREATE A PLAYER I AM BEGGING YOU

Re: Fixing up the AFL games

A shot meter like the one in Fifa 2006 would be alright

For those of you who don't know its a bar that has a small space with a "sweet spot" and if you land it in that you kick it perfectly but if you go over you are likely to hit it wide and under you will not put much power on the shot, also it goes faster if you are further out and are a bad kick and the "sweet spot" bar gets smaller the further out you are..

Re: Fixing up the AFL games

nope! lolo y u assume that?

hawk, i want to dicuss a few issues

1. Difficulty.

Easy: Run up the field virtually unopposed and boot goal after goal.
Normal: EXACT SAME
Hard: Bit harder but feels like ur palying against the game, not the computer.

Most players will be forced to play on Hard just to get a decent challenge.

2. Draft picks. Doesn't matter if they're #1 or number #151, they're all the same skills-wise. Draft picks #1-#20 should staad out among draftees. Top #10 should be even more standout.

I'm assuming 'matera_goal' is 14 years old.

Re: Fixing up the AFL games

Why is he mentally ******ed, for giving an opinion on a game?

Think about it, he is a big hope on getting this game right, so remember, a mentally ******ed teenager might actually help produce one of the best games on the market...you never know!!!

Just read his posts and his over use of lol etc, i don't care how old he is but he posts like a 14 year old.

We all want the game out, however im not getting my hopes up because even if ir guru's make a huge leap the game will be just playable.

Re: Fixing up the AFL games

... whats so bad about using "lol"? think about it: stand for LAUGH OUT LOUD. say it after anything u post if u like say it after someone posts something humerous. say it loud and proud. LOL!

i am too lazy to spell correctly, punctuate and i completely disreagard proper use of english language. given the fact i am an avid gamer, i practice the art of chatspeak, which lets you type what you want as fast as possible.

P.S for all those who call me ******ed, grow up

You can't seriously not know why people thought you were 14.
