No state of origin as it doesn't fall under the AFL licence - it's not part of the AFL season so it won't go in. The AFL didn't approve its inclusion.

hahaha....yeah I know....Hated getting run down in that scenario....
Using X and direction is a bit harder....which kinda gives that feel of you being under pressure....
That's why I dont mind the goal kicking meter at the moment...some people have said they hated it, but I reckon it makes it interesting.....
I'm sure the guys at IR Gurus would be all ears (well, not for 2007....too late now) if someone could figure out another system......

We had everything ready to go for state of origin and all-australian modes but were told not to do them so yeah it was very frustrating but we do what we're told.

If there was, how would you simulate the difficulty of performing a perfect checkside kick?
If you could just press the button to quickly snap/checkside, and it would automatically be directed perfectly (as in AFL P.E), there wouldn't be any skill needed from the player.....they could just do that every time...

Or do you mean a button just for the animation of a checkside, where you'd still have to direct it using the Left Analog Stick? That could work...

Hahaha....if only it were that easy.
The AFL would sue the crap outta them....doesn't matter if it's an 'accidental' method of unlocking it, it would still breach their contract, and we wouldn't see another AFL game for a while....
It's like that HotCoffee Mod for GTA....it wasn't in the game until someone 'edited' it....and still there were court cases over it with Rockstar games....because it's still their product....

btw guys....in discussion of the release date, I know most (almost all) AFL titles have come out later than the release date, but another IR Gurus game, Heatseeker, was due out May 1st, yet it has been out for weeks...
Ya never know what might happen...

P.S My mate got Heatseeker, and I had a go. Great game. Don't know if you are at all involved in it FH, but it's awesome. Can't wait to find someone with the Wii version. Looks like mad fun.

Pro Evo Soccer 6 is my favourite sports game at the moment, i like the way they move with momentum and the changes of direction, it seems as if they really are attached to the ground at times

One of the things I haven't enjoyed so much with the AFL games has been they have felt almost like there running around on an ice skating rink, players seem to move at full speed in all directions regardless of momentum or not.

Just wondering if this is something that has been improved upon as well?

just a few things id like to contribute i find it a bit annoying that the cpu players keep kicking torps at goal from every distance and angle cus they miss quite a few easy shots which makes the game a little less challenging also the cpus excessive bumping in a match i find im getting 10x the free kicks they end up getting another thing is the opposition forwards always seem to be free no matter who i play on them or what tactic i used like my full back always gets beaten on the lead no matter how much quicker he is than the FF also a final thing with the development system i think it should be done a bit like fifa 07 on xbox 360 where players each earn their own devlopment points which you assign to their attributes and the amount of points earnt is based on their performance their age and their potential cus i find it a bit strange to dominate a game with your star players win by 20 goals then go give all the points to a hack who will never be any good.
I'm sorry if any of these topics have been bought up before but there are just too many pages to look back thru now but no matter what im gonna play this game 2 death

well ive registered to this site too late to tell my ideas but what ive read has been great. i havent played 2006 because im just going to wait for this one but one thing i noticed in 2005 was the draft. probably because it was the first time yous tryed it it wasnt that good but will the drafted people look like albinos like they did in 2005? and will they have names as james black and tom judd? and i dont no if this has been asked but is there going to be the eyetoy camo/cameo (i cant remember what its fully called)again?

i cant wait for this game but i also cant wait for screens and a full preview i also heard this game went through classification yesterday and got a G rating.

Hey just looking at the screenshots from AFL 2007

Did anyone notice that in one of the screenshots of the Fremantle Dockers team, that they were wearing their old guernsey from 1995 when they first joined the afl.

So you must be able to choose heritage or old guernseys to play in.

I can't wait for June 28th to get here

I think that might just be for classical or historical guernsey's such as Fremantle's old jumper from 1995. Just a thought

Because I have seen it in other games like some soccer games that have classic guernsey's in them with no sponers on them.

I also think that the sponsers that are on the classic jumpers,
Such as "Spicers paper" from the old magpies jumper. The game developers may not have the rights or licensing or something.

By all means guys, plz correct me if I'm wrong but just a thought
