They keep saying Crows are guaranteed top 2, but surely GWS can pass them and Geelong can equal them, and beat them percentage wise mathematically (although unlikely) can't they? Thus pushing Adelaide down to 3rd?

Geelong would have to win their games by 100+ and Crows would have to lose their games by 100+

Bombers don't have the midfield more like it. It's Zerrett, some ageing vets, and a bunch of B/C graders.

A lot of this going on. I think Essendon felt a little compelled to 'keep' a few of the banned players this year. A big cleanup coming at seasons end for the Bombers.

Geelong and GWS play each other in round 23, there's no combination of results that sees them both go ahead of us

Geelong play GWS in round 23, so both of them cannot get two wins from their remaining games.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, like most these days I take everything the commentators say with a giant sized grain of salt

Bring on next friday night

If essendon play finals it is probably a sign to go back to a top 6 to be honest, would just be cannon fodder, not there yet imo

Maybe against Adelaide and Sydney, but reckon they'd have a fair to good chance against everyone else in the 8.

We only lost by a point to Sydney in the dying seconds. On their home deck too.
We can't match Adelaide though.
But I doubt this group is ready for finals pressure. Love to make it and give them the experience. But we wouldn't be a major threat

It's possible but bloody unlikely we would have to beat WC and Geelong and they would have to lose to Swans and WC. Realistically they've got one home QF and have earned it. We battle the Cats and Tigers for the other.

Who would you rather play week 1 of the finals at Blacktown then?

Cats or Tigers? or Swans at a stretch?
