Opinion AFL 2023 Round 19 - Liked, learnt, hated

Liked - Hard to go past that game in Adelaide last night. Brilliant to watch as a neutral and both sides have a lot to look forward to in September. Honourable mention to Richmond’s comeback yesterday afternoon to keep their season alive; another great game to watch.

Learnt - Adam Kingsley might be the most underrated coach in the league. 6 wins on the trot for the Giants after they were going absolutely nowhere earlier in the year (lost to West Coast in round 2 let’s not forget). I thought they were zero chance of making the finals before the season started but he’s got them sitting seventh and playing really well.

Hated - That St Kilda-North game this afternoon. Yuck. Enough said.

richmond get kudos for a one point comeback win against the third worst team in the comp, and st kilda get yucks for an eight point comeback win with a bunch of kids running the forward line, against the second worst team? we would've been dancing in the animal enclosure in the eighties after that effort!
