Has anyone been watching any of the under 18s this year?? can anyone name 2 or 3 from your club to watch out for??

The comp is really tight this year 3 teams are tied for 2nd should be a good final series havent seen one in the 18s for years.

Does anyone think the comp is really strong his year??

I was wondering what the player payments were like in Canberra comp are there any salary caps? so say and onballer that has played A grade Amos in melbourne what sort or renumeration could he expect to get $500 or $600 a game

ACT rep side defeated NSW by around 7 goals this morning.

After trailing by a goal after the first half (remembering that they play 2 x 17minutes + time on) the side kicked 9 goals in the 2nd half to secure a great win.

Better players for the good guys were Neely, Kimball, Healey, Bennet and G. Underwood with goal scorers being Armstrong 3, Healey, Hughes x 2 and singles to Powell, Leischke, R. Underwood and Petterson.

This arternoon the boy take on the mighty SA who lost their opener to WA.

Defeating the Croweaters from SA by 14 points.

Armstrong kicked 4, Healey, Illet, Ainger 1 each

Kimball was again very good as was M. Powell

2 from 2 today is a fantastic start.

Armstrong didnt play - big rumour is he has a hamstring injury however sources tell me he is fine and just rested up his aging legs.

Looks like the 2 guys in charge of the side DO seem to have a clue and have the respect of the players.

Certain people on here who talk before they think need to have a look at themselves before posting crap on this site!! Notice the posters who bagged the coaching staff prior to the carnival havent commented on the results thus far and my bet is they will see the 2 mentioned guys and comment on how well things went like the 2 faced gutless "snakes" that they are!!

Just spoke to "Merv" and he assures me he is good to go. No injury concerns at all. It was a planned move to rest him for this mornings game. Not sure if he will play this afternoon in the now "dead rubber" against the Vics. My bet is that he wont play until the final on Sunday.

In fact he said that there are no injury concerns at all in the squad.

No need to play all your cards this afternoon boys and good luck on Sunday in the final

As far as me being driven crazy, let me just say that it has really annoyed me how easily certain posters are quick to stick the boot in before a ball has been kicked in anger. To many people use this as a vehicle to play "hero" knowing their identity is safe. Hence the reason Im happy mine is known. If someone has an issue with what I say they can come and discuss it with me, its that simple.

But yes I agree this thread is better without them!!

Listening to a very pro-Vic call on 98.5 ACT down 1-4-10 to VIC 5-4-34 at halftime. ACT kicked the first goal then missed a couple of sitters early, then VIC took control kicking the next 5. Underwoods and Gobbers doing well and sounds like Kavanagh getting a bit too. VICs seem to be well in control. Armstrong not playing.
