The results are in for the 2011 AFL Captain's survey, and only one team is "guaranteed" to make the finals, according to it's 16 opposition captains, and that team is ............ COLLINGWOOD.:thumbsu:

Also, have a look at the "likely to make the Grand Final" voting, 14 votes for us, staggering.:thumbsu:

Considering it's which other club, that means Maxy said either Hawthorn or WB.

14 out of 16 ain't bad. :D

Yeah, nice one Maxwell voting for himself for mark of the year. Haha.

That was the first thing that caught my eye aswell :)

Oh, and Jack Riewoldt winning the Brownlow is pretty out there aswell, not too many FFs do...can't think who was the last one
But he may well be their standout player this year, but I still reckon 100-1

Riewoldt might be an outside chance, playing in a poor side where not too many players will steal votes of him (ala Judd).

And as for the last full forward to win a Brownlow, Plugger Lockett won at least one didn't he?

True on Jack. You only need to look at Buddy Franklin in 2008. He was kicking bags of goals and getting no votes. Seems like a KPF doesn't get votes unless they kick over 5 goals and get a heap of the footy.

I wonder who the dingus was that voted for Marc Murphy to win the brownlow. Probably Judd as no other captain could see anyone other then Judd getting the most votes at carlton.

It's good to be the premiers. \\n/.

Interesting none of the captains rate Melbourne with making the finals.

I thought that was interesting too.

They obviously didn't have a good look at their fixture.

I don't necessarily think they are in the best 8 sides in the comp but they will win 12 games and that gets you in the 8.

5 Captains reckon Essendon will make the eight, while none expect Melbourne to? What the?

Essendon still have a woeful list, paying Bomber Thompson and Sir Jimmy 2 million a year isn't gonna change that. Absolute monty for the bottom four.
Reminds me of when people started talking about Carlton's chance when they won the pre-season cup GF.

the rumour im hearing is he wont play FF this year - more up the ground to improve him defensively.

Even still, someone like Pavlich has been playing that way for a while now and still rates poorly in the Brownlow. It's pretty much a midfielder's medal unless someone has an outrageous season.

True, and as Hawthorn got 2 votes and Dogs one vote, it's statistically a 66.7% chance Maxy said Hawks.

And given we did the Dogs three times last year, and also given Hawks are a bit of a bogey team for us, possibly that further ups the odds Maxy said Hawks....so it's not drawing too long of a bow, to suggest they're the team we rate the highest.

However, probably no real surprise there?
