Has to be a front half pressure player, doesn't it?

We've already got probably 2 too many talls on the list, and we've addressed that inside midfield need already so a fair few of the ones that are seen in that 25-40 bracket probably aren't too relevant for us now, potentially a different story if we take Dovaston instead of Sharp, but I am not unhappy about that at all.

I like Mikunda, Hibbins-Hargreaves is a massive could be anything or could be nothing type player but I could see it. Rosa may lean on the WA connect again and go Fred Rodriguez based off underage form as a bit more of a zippy, run and carry mid.

Other left field one would be a ruckman depending on who gets through, if Emmett is there I could see it, could also see us going full 'days of yore' and taking Krasnadamskis with the sole justification being the last time we won a flag we had a Lithuanian on the list.

Robey
Sharp
Farrow/dovaston

That’s the dream.

Great selections.

And two lads who support the Bombers is a nice touch.

At this stage Essendon wins the draft IMO.

Eagles picked best available but all three Eagles picks have question marks. Two could be generational or not make it.

Enjoy the remainder of the draft.

If we are looking for a small forward with our last pick (and we should be) I think we should go for Talor Byrne. Great kick, good goal sense, left-footer. We still need that goal-kicking small. We've lost Smartt, Davey, Menzie. Gresham and Guelfi aren't long term answers to help Kako. We should draft for need with this last pick.

Not sure if a ruck is a pressing need but it never hurts to have someone developing in the VFL if the opportunity presents to grab someone we like the look of.

I suspect the most likely outcome is another small forward in addition to HEA.

Uh Huh Ok GIF by Bengals
At picks 5 and 6, which I was right no ?

Plays a bit like Shai bolton, tigers are possibly keen with their pick ahead of us.
Loves a high mark, can get out the back and use his pace so opposition cant catch him

No way we would pick Dovostan at 10? I don’t believe that for a second, Essendon would select Farrow at 10 and would hope Sharp fell at 13 if they did it. Essendon would select Pickett at 13 if Dovostan didn’t make it, and these Code sport guys were saying Sharp and Schubert to us at 5 and 6, whilst we were 100% trading 21 and 27 for 18 and 36.
Quote me now Chambo

If we trade up picks 21, 27 and 30 for Schubert, I’m Rosa out and the whole list management team. This is the most obvious flop I’ve seen since Tsatas at pick 5, I’m not gonna be happy at all if this the case. However, Cal hasn’t mentioned his name to us yet… he’s linked us to small forwards and maybe running the risk of letting a player slip to 9 with Melbourne potentially not selecting them.

If fox footy is correct and Robey/Cumming are the players they take. I’d be selecting X.Taylor and Farrow at 5 and 6, and I’d run the risk with Sharp at 9 as I don’t think Melbourne will select him, if he does get taken then you go the small forward route at 9.
Another one Chambo

I would go small, pressure forward if it was up to me, agreed, but I could see us doing something somewhat unexpected.

The player I've got in mind is like a McCreery archetype that can put on pressure with their legspeed and isn't necessarily a close to goal finisher but I don't really see that type of player in the pool.

He’s a f****** baller, most obvious player to succeed. People rating Sam Cumming over this guy makes my blood boil, Farrow has to be one of our picks. Robey > Farrow > Taylor > Sharp > Dovostan is the player order I want for us.
Cats need to put respect on my name. It’s poetic that they went in the order they got drafted in too.

😉 looks like Matty Rosa agrees with my ball knowledge
There's a fair difference between some armchair expert throwing darts based on youtube highlights and a list manager collating scouting reports from all over the country, conducting interviews and analysing long term list needs

Pass on Byrne for mine, feel like his a fringe player in a bottom 8 side at his best. When we draft a small forward I’d hope we go for someone with the potential to change a game or bust. Not a fan of drafting players just to fill a gap.
