The commentary is awful. Nothing has changed in this regard for the last 12 years.

To be fair commentary in most sports games are garbage. In NBA2k things are getting repeated after the first handful of games.

Simulated a full season of the manager career.. some interesting notes.

Brownlow medalist was Sam Lloyd and the Coleman medalist was Jeff Garlett. This was shown after the GF.
Each team had about 2 draws.
Can't see disposals per game but each teams leading possession getter was a small forward.

You get team contract offers at the end of the season, I had 4 different teams
Draftee names weren't all player names, majority were different
At pick 94 I picked up a player with 96 potential
Of my 4 draftees their ratings were 58, 76, 66 and 60

How was the ladder? Were teams like Brisbane, Gold Coast and Carlton near the bottom?

All teams that were expected to be at the top this season were. So Hawks and Sydney were in the 8, the only teams in the 8 that weren't last season were Melbourne and Port Adelaide. GC, Brisbane and NM all down the bottom

Got the game from eb

Didn't even need to ask for price match, she just did it.

So I donated back an extra $15 to the starlight foundation.

O.k so early thoughts.

It is the best AFL game we have had so far (Not that it really has much competition except AFL Live).

Pros
- Getting a handball chain up and running feels really good
- You can actually rebound from defence and get a nice run into forward 50.
- AI appears to actually be half decent, they have gotten some great shots against me but missed some sitters as well.
- You can hit a player on the lead if you kick it into space.

Negatives
- Marking the ball is difficult but not impossible (Need to learn the timing).
- I am finding it difficult to kick the ball out of defence and find lose players, most of the time I am employing run and gun or kicking it into space into the hope one of my players lead out
- The AI tends to always find lose players against me
- I have seen a few conga lines (But this could very much be because I don't know what I am doing).

All in all enjoying the game so far, its not the best game you will ever play but it is enjoyable and definitely a step up compared to other efforts so far.

Not a fan of 'Be a Pro' mode automatically putting you in the best 22.

I picked CHF for Sydney and Franklin is set for life in the NEAFL.

In the player career if I play in the TAC do I get offered AFL contracts at the end of the season?

You can play without the update yeah? might led the update run overnight instead of waiting 5 hours

With the be a pro whats the best quarters to play ? is 5mins enough to get some decent stats up as a mid ?

Also can you change the difficulty later or should i start it on hard ?
