One of the best games I've had, ended up being quite the thriller. Sorry its in silence (as are all my vids), as I turn all sounds off in this game and just listen to spotify.

FFS, why is this always to "go to" line? There are levels of quality between Evolution and FIFA. Many levels. It's perfectly possible to be unsatisfied with the multitude of bugs in this game and not expecting FIFA at the same time.

Anyone would think there are only two possible options for sports games.
1. Clunky and buggy with entire game modes inherently broken
2. FIFA
 
I'm surprised by the reactions of people generally to the game.

I think it's a fun game to play casually on medium difficulty.

The better you get the more you realise that every single game mechanic is broken in creative ways.

Not to mention none of the gamemodes work properly, and playing online is completely broken. Does anyone know the button to tackle the opposing CHF from a centre clearance?

Haven't read any of the thread thus far so forgive me if this has been said, but is anyone else experiencing extremely low stats for simulated matches? Scores are generally between 40-70 for either side & no individual player has ever had more than 17 possessions. It's as if only half a match has occurred.

And it seems it just tool a while to update. The streak is back alive.
 
I'm confused about the ruck. If I'm getting perfect timing as Goldstein I should not be losing to oppositions second ruckman even if they get perfect timing as much ruck stat should be better, right?

Umpire ran the ball to here and stood still until I quit the game.
 
Is the game being really buggy today for anybody else?

eg. no siren, no commentary and no umpire or crowd sounds, players standing still

Home grounds will be fixed in the expansion patch. Please buy another copy of the game

They're on a low budget mate, you can't expect to play at your home ground during career mode.
 
Geelong have actually started selling home games to the GABBA from 2018 as their tax payer funded stadium had been returned to the tax payer.
 
Went to my mates house on the weekend to have a crack at the game and i'll say it's bloody good. In our first match he kicked my arse by over 100. I proceeded to beat him by 86 the next game. He beat me in the tiebreaker by about 16 in the end. Enjoyable game. Awesome to play with mates.

He beat me because it was my second game, then i beat him because i managed to work out the marking quickly. Then he managed to just take a few more opportunities. I also believe that team ratings do matter. As in the first, he was West Coast to my Freo, WCE are rated higher he beat me. Next game i was Richmond and he was Adelaide, both the same rating, i somehow pumped him. in the 3rd game he picked WB and i picked the Dons. Bulldogs are higher but he only just beat me.
 
Does anyone else manually interchange players? I tend to do it after the first bounce of every quarter, like I said in a previous post I don't really like kicking a haul with one player so I'd start with Roughie in the ruck, Boyd at full forward than switch Boyd into the ruck and grab Redpath off the bench into FF, then Roughead back in the ruck next quarter, Boyd up forward, switch the midfield around etc. I wish there was a way we could set it and it does it automatically, but obviously would have to be in the next instalment. However just having interchanges now and then would be an improvement

Also another thing that gets annoying fast is CPU missing some easy as shots, the games would be much more closer/enjoyable if they went 12-6 rather than 6-12. Was even considering switching teams and taking their set shots without entering the whole set shot thing cause, but I couldn't in career coach mode

But other than those two little gripes I'm still enjoying the crap outta this game, I've got bumping a player out of a marking contest down I believe, at least good enough for the medium difficulty I'm playing on
 
I think this game is awesome...

once you learn the controls properly and know how to fine tune your team to balance/defensive/attacking it opens up the game and then suddenly you are playing a game in the midfield, you can side-step/evade whilst approaching players, try to zip through congestion, you can then lob a handball over the top and find a player ...

you can kick a grubber goal from the boundary and it looks nice, you can soccer a great goal from inside the forward 50

you can bump the player off position and take a great mark...

etc...a bunch of other things as well..

the gameplay is very good..

Once you gain that momentum, you can make some awesome plays and i'm often thinking i wish i recorded that sequence as it looked very cool.

Also wanted to say, the soundtrack on this is pretty cool, some nice tunes playing in the menu screens..

At least you're playing in a much better stadium
