Well, The game was developed by Creative Assembly, The guys behind the Total War series. They are based in the UK, So they might not have seen a full match before?

They really should get Dwayne Russell to do the commentary on one of these games. He's basically a video game commentator in real life. A Dwayne Russell soundboard would be indistinguishable from the real thing.

Only 5 months to go until the end of Q2 2017.. most likely when the game comes out. I feel as if the AFL will want to promote the shit out of this game during the first half of the season.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was released Grand Final week despite the expected timeline, it seems games like this are always delayed.

I know we're all excited for this game but I'd rather them take their time on it then rush it

This. We all saw what utter garbage AFL Live 2 was when it came out because they just rushed it and ported it over from the iOS game, AFL Live Gold Edition and updated the teams.

I think that's going to be the only issue with the AFL being so involved this time. It may be Tru Blu fashion to release at crappy times (eg. later in year), but with the AFL calling some of the shots now, they aren't going to let it be released at an irrelevant time. So they'd be pressuring W.W to finish it by a deadline. What that deadline is, I'd have no idea, but i'd think it would be finish it by March/April so they can advertise it during the first few rounds

I just hope if it is released that early, that the game is actually a "finished product" rather than the buggy unpolished mess that we got with AFL Live 2. I guess it depends on how long they were working on it before it was officially announced. I honestly couldn't care less if they delayed it to the end of the year, I just want an AFL that plays really well and looks good.

Interested to see what camera angles they put in as well. If I'm playing career mode it'd be good to at least have a 3rd person view (and possibly 1st person), really didn't enjoy the camera angles on AFL Live 2 as if I wasn't kicking for goal I often couldn't see where I was kicking it.

The game won't be a mess they've been working on it since mid july 2015, at latest.

Good lol because unless this game exceeds all odds, I think its time WW give up and hand the reigns to someone else. Live 2 is probably still the worst AFL game to date.
 
I hope they make set shots somewhat difficult. I really liked the system that AFL Live 2007 had with the moving ball that got quicker as the goals got smaller

Well to be fair they actually do now. They had a patch update about 2 weeks ago which fixed the logos being blurry and they now appear nice and clear, along with some other bugs and fixes. It has somewhat made the game more enjoyable for me.

As has been said 300+ times, I don't care if has only a single player and the career/be a pro mode, if the gameplay is awesome, then we can start talking features that are most likely not going to be in the game (don't know why AFL UT is still mentioned every now and again, will never happen)

Actually Wicked Witches have stated they are in fact looking at Ultimate Team for future titles.

Maybe if they ever get a budget remotely close to EA's, it may happen. Wicked Witch isn't a big enough company to manage something as big as Ultimate Team. It would come out, be crap, and they wouldn't be able to do anything for it. Better to just introduce a Fantasy Draft as an option in career or something

Each logo is huge, and there is a ridiculously small limit on how many logos can be downloaded. Once this limit is reached then your stuck with it. Its bullshit. Game is still buggy as shit.

If the Women's League was going to be included, you'd think today or tomorrow would be the best day for them to post one ;) but yeah hopefully they release something. Chances are they are still pretty hard at work trying to finish the game though

Yeah true, and wouldnt want to interrupt them and slow the process down, tomorrow would be a good night to announce a release date! Fingers crossed at least for that!

Would love it to happen but that won't come until they finish the production. Realistically, if anything comes this week, it will just be another likeness shot. Im not sure how many teams are still to come, but it wouldn't make sense to only release a few and leave out 5-6 teams. They'd release all 18 teams likeness shots and a few dev diaries before the good stuff. If anything, release date/in game screenshot etc. would be likely to come some time in the JLT Cup. But who knows, Im just speculating with absolutely no evidence haha

7 teams haven't been done, these include Adelaide, Carlton, Essendon, Fremantle, GWS, Gold Coast and St Kilda
