As bad as the Nakia Cockatoo "model" is, it potentially, in this day and age presents a possible PR disaster for the AFL and WW.

I can see bone headed social justice warriors getting wind of this, seeing an opportunity, and saying:
"Hey look at this, the AFL has licensed and endorsed a video game that portrays indigineous player, Nakia Cockatoo as an ugly white man"

I don't think this statement is all too far-fetched. I can't understand how WW would allow this player model get through, especially for such an up and coming/prominent indigenous player. Very concerning.

Thursday seems to be the day that most of their facebook posts have been, doubt it but maybe something new next thursday?

I still think it says something that they released the last facescan on Tuesday and the fanhub update on Wednesday, can't help but feel they'll release the trailer today (or at least that was their planning)

Tru Blus idea of marketing is that inept that they'd hold back on any footage until the flashy trailer is ready to go no matter how good the game plays

While we wait for some official footage, lets reminisce about the good old days. I have a new found respect for what they achieved with this after playing so many of the recent games. AFL Live 1 is definitely the closest they ever got to this fluid gameplay.

I think AFL Live 2 had gameplay 2 weeks before it came out.

It's not just Cockatoo. Zac Clarke is white and has long black hair... I mean he's shit anyway so who cares but it's going to be widespread.

It's a bit like FIFA where a lot of players used to be auto generated. I bought Gareth Bale for Hearts or West Ham or some German team when he was at Southampton and was white as a ghost with long black hair. Probably ended up being accurate, just ten years too early.

I don't know if there's any substance to the 13/4 rumour but if there is I'd suggest that if you were releasing a trailer you'd schedule the post at around 5-6pm (on what is obstensiably a Friday night) to get maximum reach on social media. So don't be surprised that you haven't seen it released today (yet).

I'd be incredibly happy if the gameplay turned out great.

I'm going into the game with low expectations based on the developer's previous effort with Live 2 and because no footage has been shown when the game is close to release.

This way if the game turns out bad, I won't be as disappointed. If it's good then I will be one happy gamer!

I know for league live 3 they replaced some of the likenesses with the fan made ones because they were better. That was bigant though.
