AFL Evolution - Out May 5 - (Cont in LAUNCH THREAD - link in OP)

While we wait for some official footage, lets reminisce about the good old days. I have a new found respect for what they achieved with this after playing so many of the recent games. AFL Live 1 is definitely the closest they ever got to this fluid gameplay.

I had fun with that game, but seriously, Live 1 shits all over it. I actually can't believe how ugly that was to watch.

Was referring to the players top 50 not my player ratings top 40... Learn to read.

Soo many awkward looking animations

Not really, i really like the details in the animations, including the backgrounds, crowd and stadium

- Love seeing the sidestep play from Gary Ablett jnr, it looked pretty cool..
- Really liked that the speccy is back and a few good variations..
- It looks very fluid and has a nice flow to the gameplay
- Finally a game on par with most recent Australian sporting codes, it looks like it's up to the standard of the more recent games, which is great..
- The multiple camera angles looked very cool...

- Including the player creation and being able to adjust skills and stats..

It's all looking very nice..

I like it and it has a nice base to work of for future updates as well, and nobody has even played it yet, lol.

Graphics look superb. Pretty impressive how good it all looks.

Animations on the other hand look like they had Tinman doing the mo-cap.

That trailer makes me believe it won't top Live 1. Still looks worthy of a purchase though.

Built from the ground up seems like a big ****ing fib, you can see the Live 2's grubby little imprints.

I never understood using the transition between animations for teams, like how the Collingwood one cuts straight into the Geelong one looking exactly the same. I know it's not a big issue, but I always thought it was a poor choice for a trailer. It basically just broadcasts "we've got one animation for every team and here it is"

Graphics look pretty good, sometimes they look poor. It's a tough game to get right, so I hope it's fun to play. Trailer didn't really show much outside of animations and lighting, but it's better than no trailer.

Did anyone with a better eye than me spot some extra face scans that were missing in the Fan Hub demo?

Noticed a gold coast player dribble through a goal, that looked exciting. Banana's look impressive as well. Overall the kicking looks really nice

The thing that stood out to me was finally the BALL PHYSICS look realistic!!!!
