High-Low double (week 1 finals)

For all the punters out there.

Which teams in the first week of the finals are more likely to get the highest / lowest score for the round and why?

Re: High-Low double (week 1 finals)

Essendon/WC @ 34 for me.

Essendon to win in a shootout and WC to be decimated by the Pies :D

The more and more I think about it the more I really do like the Cats tomorrow. I would love for someone to prove me wrong but when was the last time a team won with 8 changes before a final? I know it's probably unlikely that it's ever been done but when ever a team does it because of injury, it never goes well.

Re: High-Low double (week 1 finals)

Some dodgy promo on ias, have jumped on Cats over 15.5 @ 2.40 and my free bet on Dons 10-19 @ 10.

Rest of my bets will be -
Cats -3.5 @ 1.92
Pies -29.5 @ 1.92
Saints under 39.5 @ 2.05
Dons +17.5 @ 1.92

Whats the iasbet promo?

Whats the iasbet promo?

Nothing exciting. make a $10 tri bet on the cats hawks game and get a $10 free bet on the superline in the blues bombers game.

I think they learnt from last week not to give a free bet for first goal kicker when milneys playing lol they would've got smashed on that promo last week :D

Got homework coming up lol.

Fox Footy Teams on in 10 minutes lol. :p

Probably will shape some more bets for me for this weekend.

You know the teams are online at 5pm?

The hi low is a total raffle, the rain will have a lot of a say this week. Is hail still due tomorrow? The only game under the roof is Stk v syd right? That's hardly going to be a shootout...so I think it's going to be really close. As someone said the only game that could possibly be free flowing would be the Carlton game. Umm...I can see the gee game being somewhere in between like a 70 v 90. The pies could really put on some points in the dry but yeah it's a bitch this week and I'd have to look at some odds first...

4.5U Coll -27.5 @1.91 (Sportingbet)
2.7U Coll 1H -13.5 @1.90 (Sportingbet)
3U WCE Behinds>Goals @2.70 (Centrebet)

I missed out on some of the earlier odds that others posted from Sportingbet, however I still think that their prices on the Pies are good. I am also back on the Pies opponents B>G bandwagon. They managed this in 6 out of 7 games at the MCG through the middle of the season, which is when they were in their best form. I see no reason as to why the Pies won't amp up the pressure whilst also heavily restricting the Eagles from getting many set shots away from the boundary line.

Adding:
3U StK 1Q -4.5 @1.92 (Sportsbet)
2.5U StK 1-39 @2.21 (Centrebet)
1U Geel Behinds >Goals @3.8 (Centrebet)

MGS
0.5U Rioli @14 (Sportsbet)
0.2U S.Reid @21 (TAB)
0.25U Goodes @15 (TAB)

FGS
0.3U S.Reid @21 (TAB)

Last Goal Scorer
0.1U I.Smith @67 (Sportingbet)
0.1U WhiteX @51 (Sportingbet)
Sportingbet's LGS odds are the same as their FGS odds. These guys are named on the bench which does not mean they'll finish there (or even start there). Also these two players are goalkickers as they have kicked a combined 35 goals from 31 games.

Re: High-Low double (week 1 finals)

The difference is when most sides make heaps of changes they're usually bringing in fringe players or bringing players in who've been out injured for ages.

The Hawks are bringing back 8 of their best 10 players, none of which are injured and have only missed 1 week.

I'm still confident of Geelong winning, though.

I'd be confident in your Ess high score bet if it dry and sunny but I still like them to cause an upset. Lonergan/Hocking are huge ins.

Yeah that's true but i'd much rather my team coming into the game full of confidence and in touch rather than rested, especially after seeing how teams have gone after the bye this year.

Hocking in is huge for us. Will probably go to Judd so hopefully he won't destroy us again like a few rounds ago :thumbsu:

Gentleman,

Firstly I bid you all a good day. I haven't bet for a while but this week I have noticed a potential opportunity that I wish to share with you all. This opportunity is circumstantial so one must tread carefully and make their own judgment when following this advice. It is my opinion that Carlton's chances of winning are positively correlated with how wet it is on Sunday afternoon. For those of you that live in Melbourne it may be a good idea to keep an eye on the weather. If it is going to be raining sunday afternoon during the match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground then it is my belief that Carlton will win the game. Until next time good luck with your bets and I look forward to sharing any further insight I can bestow.

It actually reminded me of a student trying to pad out one paragraph of info into a two page essay. Lots of fluff and thesaurus use

A thesaurus, are you serious? I didn't even use any words people should need a thesaurus for. I know you didn't technically say I used a thesaurus as you said it reminded you of someone using a thesaurus but that seems to imply it. Your vocabulary must be pretty small if you do think I must have used a thesaurus.

I must be the only one on the swans this weekend. Whilst saint kilda are deservedly favourites, i don't think they should be at 1.35. The swans take a fair bit of form into this game and will be confident having defeated the saints quite easily less than a month earlier.

Although the saints have a formidable record at etihad, they are still only 7 out of 10 there, with only 1 of their 7 wins being against a top8

Unlike the MCG, sydney don't mind etihad and $3.15 is value, even after i take my red and white glasses off.
