For an "improvement" on the original, you gotta love just how slap shot this game is - hows the mug on Fido Matera eh? - Look familiar? It's Peter Matera!, they've just slapped Peter's face and chrome dome on Phil!

I don't care if they are undermanned and under funded, or who it was done to, but jeez, put in a little effort. I suppose I should be happy it was a relative - they can't even match the dark skinned player type to some of the leagues established Aboriginal players.

Slack and slap shot crap.

So now their introducing more errors instead of correcting the existing ones. I'm pretty sure Matera had the right picture in Live 2004, so if it's been screwed around in PE they obviously have monkeys running their development.

if EA had an attempt at another footy title they would underfund it and produce a peice of crap with awesome graphics...thats it

His picture is right but he has now inherited Peter's onfield likeness for some reason.

Game has flaws as mentioned but my biggest gripe is having to change my line up before every game.

I have been playing Stephen Doyle as a full forward, kicks 23 goals and still gets dropped the next week. :(

Also i thought we could edit the teams strips when i heard Heritage Jumpers were being used. I have to wait until that round to use the old South Melbourne strip. Which i like more than their current strip.

And yes I have Brett Kirk doing his shoulder and hand every 2nd week. It's annoying b/c kirky isnt that injury prone.

I also agree the screen is too dark. Sometimes whe i am playing the wet at the scg the red sherrin gets lost and i find myself chasing someone else or losing play. I play better at TD using the yellow sherrin.

I still play AFL99.

I dont know about you guys but the freakin injuries in the game are killing me.

Round 1 - Lloyd kicks 15, then gets injured, his gone for 2 weeks.

Round 2 - I lose both Johnsons and Solomon

Round 3- I lose Murphy and Alvey

Im scared to play Hird in the middle cause I know his gonna go soon.

Has anyone else had consisten injuries like this?

Yes... mainly the midfielders for me: Coughlan, Johnson, Tivendale and Brown.

It doesnt really worry me though.. even though the game is dead easy it still makes it just that tiny little bit harder. Also, it give others on the list a go.. just like real footy.

More injuries

I finally get Lloyd back and have a full team, he kicks 15 again, the next week I lose him in the 1st quarter for 3 weeks, then at the end I lose Fletcher for 3 weeks. Then the following game I lose David Hille 2wks, Matthew Allan 3wks, Aaron Henneman 3 wks and Mark Bolton 1wk,. Its good cause u have to play new players but bad if ur tryin to win a brownlow.

well when i try to loose i do this:

turn up strategy to ulta aggresive so theres always loose men on the opposition

never punch, always mark

never use sprint button

try players in weird positions

this game is just 2 bloody easy

I do the same thing.....The sad thing for me though is i play every game with 15 min quarters and always use my interchange. Steve Kenna is able to out mark guys like Sandilands with ease......pathetic

And the next week I lose Jason Johnson, Rioli, Cupido and Alvey again. I currently have 10 players out but just won by 460 points. Its only a matter of time until Hird goes.

nah mate afl live 2004 worse

PE should have been released as a patch on the site for free download instead of another 50 bucks down the drain

thats how i thought theyd fix the team selection glitch but they cant even be bothered fixing that

I just bought this game last week and played it... what a disappointment.

AFL 98 on the PC kills this!!!
even the graphics in 98 beats this blocky POS!

The more i play the more this game sucks.

I wish it had the slower or faster option like they did in AFL99. Most times i find the game play really slow and frustrating.

Buy it dude, it's actually a good game. You will need the patch that fixes some bugs and the graphics are a bit dated but still a top game.

I like having Lockett still playing for the swans. :p
