What do you wish is in AFL Live 2005 that is not in the 2004 Version. Or any improvements. Maybe if it got popular and had good suggestions we could send this topic to Acclaim.

Mine:

- No Bugs in the released copy.
- Players don't take speckies on air.
- Improved Graphics for the Console Versions.
- Players getting suspended. Then You can plead Guilty or Not Guilty. There would have to be realistic judging.
- Different Messages on the Banners.

More might be added If I think of more.

Make the controls more easier to handle on the PC version.
Better camera angles to enable you to see up the ground when youve got the ball.
More appropriate commentary

AFL Live 2005 should include at minimum at least one xtra thing.

- A 'franchise mode' like the EA Sports NBA Live games where you can play on-going seasons and trade and take players from the draft in the off-season.

-MISITI TO BE FATER HAHAHAHAHAHA

someone besides eddy mcguire to design the front cover

since acclaim are accepting faulty console versions and sending out new fixed verions maybe they should also send out a new front cover since rocca is out

put neitz on it :D

How about A ****ING RADAR!
they had one on 03 which made it easier to see if any free players were up the field. It just makes the side view impossible to use and as a consiquence i have to use the ground end to end view which is ok but could help having the radar function too.

All these things would be good, but there are two things which, in my mind at least ,would take it from good to a classic.

Firstly, they could do much more with the season mode.

I'd love to see development of players over the year. So, if you take a raw rookie and give him more game time, he'll gradually improve in the position he gets the most time- if that were the case, it'd add a tactical edge to it, because you'd be put in the same situation as a real coach- having to choose between putting your best 22 out on the park, or trying to develop into a better side over the season.

This would be doable from a code point of view- just allow players ability to upgrade or degrade in certain abilities depending on what stats they get of- if a player tackles a lot in a game, he'll get better at it, if he runs out 4 quarters, his stamina will improve after a few weeks.
By the same token, though, if a forward kicks 0.6 one game, he could get an attack of the yips for a few rounds, if a midfielder starts racking up the clangers, he'll lose form.
This would make it all seem a lot more real, and make the season more than just playing 22 games with the same side week in week out- young guys would get game time for development, stalwarts would go in and out of the team depending on their form.

Thats my first wish list item. My second-

Well known players should have different attributes other than just skill, marking ability, speed, stamina and so on. No two AFL players are alike, and its not just a question of player X being a bit quicker or a bit stronger than player Y. Ask a Brisbane supporter why Voss is different to any other player and they'll wax lyrical for ages, ditto any fan regarding his team's star player. So some players should get certain things that reflect this.

So, someone like McLeod should have the ability to get hot and be simply unstoppable for short periods, (a la the good old 'he's on fire!' in NBA Jam) but less good for the rest of the game. Say, a 15 percent chance of getting extra hot or cold in any given quarter.
There should be players who are proven 'big game players' who are substantially better when playing finals or derbys/showdowns, and others who half in ability in the high pressure games. (this could be fun if you were playing Port), hotheads who will give away a fifty for no apparent reason if to many free kicks go against them, players who are far more difficult to tackle when on the move, (Harvey, Judd), things like that.

How cool would that be?

I'd like them to really take a couple of years off releasing the game and really spend their time developing and testing new things. Obviously they'd have to design the GUI last (to keep up to date with technological advancements) but they could be beta testing these franchise modes, tribunal hearings and some updated and improved commentary.

Other than all the things mentioned, I'd like to bring up the issue of network capabilities. Fifa was good enough to have such an option (played with my bro) but I have been unable to kick my brother's ass at an AFL game (albeit on PC). The multiple controlling is a 'multiplayer' feature, but it sucks if you have small keyboards and tables etc....

I think it has to have this feature implemented in order for it to improve in my eyes. :D

Someone to actually test it before its released
This is not as silly as it sounds, surely if a knowledgable footy supporter or two were asked to play and review the game these bugs could have been ironed out before release.
