Sorry to go off topic, but is its release still Summer 2011 or may we see it a bit earlier?

Not sure what's going on Rossco, but I have been generally simulating the AI first as it is.

I get through the Geelong game and right after the siren it freezes. Had this happen 2 times so far.

Could it be anything to do with the fact that I had simulated the AI, game auto saved, I quit out of the game and continued the round the next day by playing the Geelong match? Didn't have to re-simulate the AI as it was saved with just my match left to play.

I can give it another go, but right now, even with simulated AI first I have been getting the freeze.:(
 
from his review i learned that it takes a few games to get use to playing AFL Live... well no shit...

Crap review written by a idiot that clearly has no idea. if he had bothered to play online he would have seen just how good this game actually is. Online is where it shines although i love the offline to.

I get the feeling though that this guy just hates sport games in general he sunk the foot into a couple in that review

I am pretty sure if you simulate the AI then save it doesn't save the simulated AI - but I could be wrong - I will reproduce your steps tomorrow at work and see how it goes. Sorry :(

Wow, just did a search, he does 60% of the reviews there.... I don't feel so bad though he gave HALO ODST a 5.0, so 4.0 is pretty good for us :)

However, I have to point out that HALO and AFL Live are way behind his 9.0 that he gave "SingStar Pop Edition" - Karaoke - that's where it's at!!

WOW! I do not like this guy. Look I'm not saying the game is the best game ever but I was expecting a 6-7 out of 10 and that is EXACTLY what I got. To give it a 4 is just f-cking stupid!

Sh*t review. Basically, the game was too hard and i couldn't be bothered to read the control instructions, so it sucked. Then i got good and it was too easy so it sucked. It should be harder, even though when it was hard i was complaining. So yeah, it just sucks.
And don't buy this game because it sends the makers the wrong message. WTF? Does he think if no one buys it that they'll work harder to make the next one better? Newsflash idiot, if no one buys it there won't be a next one.
I've never heard of that site and if that's the kind of muppet that they hire then it's probably a good thing.

Heavy Rain a 4.5 too.

I would give his reviewing skills a 2/10.

Hope not! looks promising that you got e mailed on the 19th like Davros but figure there haven't been as many public holidays in the states and there might even be e decent postal service there. The same cannot be said about the UK.
 
The game has got some things to improve on, but all games need improvements. Weird example but take like fallout 3. One of my favourite games ever but one of the buggiest games you'll ever play. Would've had a good budget as well. Even games that have issues are still heaps fun to play. This game is a good start and that review is just pathetic, probably had a couple games then gave up, you can't base a review on a couple games. Just my opinion though.

Anyway, I think I will hold off on playing more games online (only had the 1 when the guy raged) until the patch is released. Still want to get my 20min qtr legend season underway.

Sing Star = Halo + Heavy Rain :)

I expect 7's or thereabouts because we don't have franchise mode and such. We are building a franchise, I think we are headed in the right direction and have a strong foundation.

I think IGN's review nailed it really

Mentioned that the game is bets played with mates. This is true

Mentioned that the sound is awful. This is true and acknowledged by your good self

Mentioned it needs a franchise mode. this is true

gave it a 6/10, which IMO is spot on. I think aiming for 8 to 8.5's for the next version should be the goal

I know you and your boys are onto it and know whats best to work on first

shame i have not had much time to play recently

Geelong match froze, 3rd time now. Looks like I'll have to wait for the patch to come in a couple of weeks.:(

I do likes me some Singstar. Maybe he reviewed it after a few beers, it can get quite good then!

Mirror's Edge with a 5 too, I am disappoint.

He reviews a ton of games, you'd think he'd have a bit more knowledge by now.:rolleyes:

dont know what everyones troubles are:

i've been playing a season with st kilda on legend and ensuring i ai-sim every game then play mine.

no issues with freezing, and i'm on round 17
