I enjoyed Noble’ game. However, I feel he struggles in defence contests. Bulldogs first goal came from an unnecessary free kick on Noble’ behalf.

I love his run and carry. I think he could play exceptionally well on the wing.

If Phillips form doesn’t pick up, maybe Noble to the wing. Quaynor/Greenwood into the backline.

I doubt Greenwood will be back,

Just lol at anyone who doesn't have us as flag favourites!
Long season.

And just like last season... Injuries heading to the finals is the most important status of a contending team. Firing at all cylinders in the first 15 rounds and then hobbling and crawling to the finals with injuries and undercooked players mean early finals exit.

Shortened quarters really suits us i think. We chase and harass like mad men, it will be much easier to maintain for 4 quarters.

Anyone wanna start a petition to permanently change the length of quarters lol?
I was thinking this last night - the red-time goals over the last 2 years have been so frustrating and cost us 3-4 goals against per game. Short quarters will suit I think/hope. Great to have footy back!

Yep, I genuinely think the intensity we play with is unsustainable through a full length game.

A lot of whether we win our games comes down to how heavily we capitalise on our periods of high intensity pressure. The periods of games where we dominate, we look like the best team in the competition (i may be biased). When those periods of dominance aren’t fully capitalised on, the opposition is always a chance against us by snagging a few late goals.

I must say after a confusing and frustrating dire few years around 2014-2017, it makes me incredibly happy to see we are a very well drilled, organised and structured side that has grown together and understand eachothers game so well. Hearing the commentary team rave about our organisation as a team is fantastic. Our team defence has clicked the last few years its great to see.

Credit to the coaching staff and the players, our team has a well defined identity in the way we play, in my eyes thats the most important part. I think a lot of how we play looks like Pep Guardiola teams in soccer. Deny the opposing team the ball, know when to go quickly, and win it back as quickly as possible when we lose it

A very methodical dismantling of a solid team. Great start to 2020.
