I'm on Melbourne at 8 dollars.

No forwardline to speak of.

Last time Dees kicked 13 goals.
Sylvia (4 goals), Robbo (2 goals), McLean (1 goal).
So I figure Dees will kick 6-8 goals :p

They've also scored 64 points or less 7 times last year.
4 more times under 71.

And the poor Dees are riddled with injuries.

Well the Dees scored 61 with 8 goals after being 1.6 at half time.

Then I just had to wait for Adelaide v Freo.

At 9.4 - 58 points at 3/4 time, one would have thought Adelaide were a shoo in to score at least 4 points. Apparently not, and boy that was a tense final quarter as the Crows scraped in just higher with 62 points.

I wasn't worried for a second :p

Thank god I didnt touch the crows game.

I thought 1.88 was good value for the crows but with so many underdone players...look what happened.

Exactly why I stayed away, no point blowing a profitable weekend on a late Sunday game either. I can't see myself betting on Freo games too often this year.

In relation to R1 I actually jumped on the Crows just before the start of that game.

Shoulda woulda coulda was ringing in my head during the 3/4 time.

Before betting on the Crows I really did contemplate backing Freo at about ~$8 to win by 40+.

There were just two variables that deterred me, one is Freo and the second is that Craigy has teams that dont lose by that margin unless they are descent side.

But after some analysis I really felt that 40+ was on the card.

While the weekend was awesome, it would have been the greatest in the history of my betting.

I needed the dogs to not lose by more than 24.5 points. lol

Only wish I stuck with instincts with Freo, but how the hello could someone back that club, mind you it was only one unit I was considering of betting on them.

I also got burnt in a double including North +24.5 and Dogs +24.5. If you watched AFL teams last week you would have also seen David Parkin tipping "Freo easily". The rest of the panel had tipped the crows but he was confident after spending some time in Perth and when looking at Freos depth...

If you saw my bet above - also got burned by the Dogs. Thought it was home at 3/4 time. (1 Bet had Dogs (+17.5) for $200, other had either team under 15.5pts for $800).

I would have thought they were good things to win the last quarter by between 1 and 5 goals - especially given they were down by 20pts and still in with a shout.

Yes, very disappointing

Freo were easy money against the Crows, they were always going to worry us with their pace...

Ended up backing Freo in a multi to win over 25+ into Collingwood line. Also jagged Duffield for most disposals into South Sydney Rabbits last night...thought the multi was dead because of Barlow but it seems he wasn't in the market after all. Duffield paid $11 to win that, surprising odds.
