Well, Round 10 already.

Kicks off with, on paper, with the game of the round.

Friday night footy sees Saints host the rampant Tigers at Etihad.

The big question is, can the Tiges back up last week's game, or will we see, as per the last howver many years, they play one great game, then be crap the following week.

They seem now to be very close to the real deal - but so many times they've promised this and failed to deliver.

Really hope the Tiges do well here, but Saints are looking a much more exciting team with Milera and Saad.

The Reiwoldts'clash will be a talking point and they're both going pretty well lately.

I'm backing Saints to get home and by a little bit.

Saturday, sees Cats host GWS - less said here the better, Cats will be out for a percentage booster and will be far too strong for the talented bunch of kids of GWS.

Of way more interest, will be the 1.30 Hawks vs 4.10 NM at Aurora.

I've got a feeling NM will do well here, despite just falling over the line vs GC Suns last week and capitulating to Port Adelaide the week before- I reckon they're due for a big one and will push the Hawks all day.

Freo at home to Adelaide will be fascinating. Freo absolutely caned in the press over there last week, Lyon in the gun bigtime - vs Adelaide coming off a home loss to the mightly Pies last week.
Crows favourite - but again Freo should be so fired up - if they lose this, Lyon's game plan will be even further scutinised.
Especially in the light that the Saints are outperforming since Lyon left.

Saturday night, Bombers v Melbourne - Essendon 1.06 and rightly so.
Will Melbourne show something ?? I guess finally they did last week for three qtrs, though I didn't see the game and don't know if they were good or the Blues were terrible.

Also, Port host Carlton and who knows - they may just push them a bit, esp with no Murphy.
Port are a chance here probably.

Sunday, sees Brisbane host WCE and should struggle there bigtime despite home ground advantage. Merrett been a revelation at FF lately, Brown back and doing well, the three R's for Brisbane might give them a chance, but really West Coast should be way too strong.

Finally ( apart from our game!) Swans host the Doggies at SCG and will be very hard to beat there. They lose more at ANZ than SCG for sure.
Swannies are becoming a pretty even team all across the park thesedays, Josh Kennedy is now elite probably, Hawks no doubt rueing letting him go.

Once again, lots of really close games on paper, reinforcing the fact that this year is a relatively very even comp, bar the bottom three.

Aints to win imo, I also get the feeling North will do well against Hawthorn, I seem to remember them beating them in 2008 when they were unstoppable, as well as nearly rolling them there last year.

Mumford a big in for the Swans - I don't think the Dogs are as bad as most think but Sydney should win, we can hope for Port to beat Carlton but sadly ai don't see it happening. Ditto Melbourne vs Essendon and GWS vs Geelong.

Adelaide and Freo will be interesting, will back Adelaide but would not be overly surprised. WC to smash Brisbane.

Richmond has been building it's form against some quality teams including the Top 2 at the moment.

Geelong lost by 10
West Coast lost narrowly
Essendon lost narrowly. Should have won this game
Smacked Hawthorn.

Earlier in the season ran the cheats close when the cheats were firing and got beaten by us off the back of an awesome 5 minute burst. They have had a wicked fixture to start the year. Their midfield is quite a bit better then St.Kildas IMO. Rance is doing a great job down back. Tigers by 10. I think it'll be a very good game.

I agree on NM. I think they are a real chance here. Hawthorn have clearly gotten caught up in their own hype which we contributed too by losing to them in round 1 but with around 8 relative newbies playing.

Port will push the cheats but not beat them.

Adelaide are damn near the bet of the year IMO, I don't rate Freo at all, and if anything Ross has made them worse.

The Tigers have a terrible record both against St Kilda and at Etihad, but I reckon if they are ever going to break that streak it will be tonight. If they don't, they can almost wave finals goodbye, because it will be damn hard to make it from 4-6 with all the competition for 6th-12th around.:)

If Carlton don't "come to play" against Port the Power could cause a massive upset, but I doubt it.

Sydney and the Dogs is the best matchup of the round outside of tonight's game, should be a cracker at the SCG.

Adelaide are very good, may have peaked too early

Freo and Ross, yeah well - goes without saying.

Should be a ripper of a game, if not - Saints will win all over them = typical Tigers.

Port are NOT that bad, can see an upset here.

Sydney will win by 2 goals.

Wasaying to someone on the train on the way home, Saints great bet at 1.96 or whatever.

Richmond haven't beaten them since Jesus was a lad.

And Tiges as great as they were last week, don't often put two together.

Tiges started really well, but Saints just got their first goal.

And another, now in front

Decent start to a game between two bottom of the eight sides.

Pressure was on early and both turned it over way too many times, in fact I don't think the Saints would have scored from anything but Richmond turnovers.

As long as Houli and Vickery are in that side they are going no where near the top four.

Yep entertaining game, Tiges look better , but as you say, too many mistakes keeping saints in it.

Hoping Tiges win, but Saints more likely. J. Riewoldt kicks his ?4th and puts Tiges a point up again.

Brilliant match.
Loved watching 120 minutes of attack.

Great game of footy, when the Saints get Fisher back I think they will be a top 6 side. Richmond are on track to finish 9th again:D

Well done Tigers nice win and good to see them back up last week's spectacular win over the Hawks.

They looked better and more likely all night really but Saints wouldn't relent, just kept hanging in there.

Tigers will finish top 6, Saints will struggle to make the eight, and like most things it's down to the draw they have from now on respectively.

The Tigers will win at least 7 games from now on, and only have 1-2 unwinnable games, so they are a near certainty for a finals spot, and a chance to finish as high as fifth.

The Saints on the other hand have a tough draw, and only sit on 5-5 (as do Richmond) and the best they can do is win 12 games, and that's if everything goes right for them.

The fixture this year will probably see Adelaide and Essendon finish top four, and the Tigers finish top 6 even though they aren't actually that good.
