This is a great bet IMO.

Defenders are all over the place right now regarding scoring and Goddard had a heavy knock last week so may not be 100% and Fisher has top scored before this year maybe more than once. Gibbs i see as a danger with us playing Port and he could rack up a heap of possies if let run free and due for a big game.

At those odds Fisher is a top hope and i might put a little wager on it as well!!!

Last time Boyd played at SS he was held to 19 touches but that was in 2008. The reason for this bet is that Selwood has been ripping up SS this year with 34 and 32 disposals in his games there this year, admittedly they were against Kangas and Port but he is in ripping form atm.

So after a few days to digest things ive decided that Melbourne is the best value of the week. Ive just taken a big bite at the $4.50 i think its huge. Im getting the same feeling I had when the bombers played the tigers before the bye. I think there is enough factors against them to give the Dees a huge chance.

Melbourne will be very fired up after the midweek comments, I am predicting a low scoring half similar to the Carlton game. Expect Essendon to start off pretty scratchy coming off the bye as well. After half time it will probably open up a bit due to inability to maintain full intensity.

I'm thinking I'm into this. Melbourne have been pretty well smashed this week. Scully and Trengove back in. I get the feeling they'll give this a pretty good shake. Essendon just ain't that good.

Demons main problem is scoring and i don't see them kicking more than 70pts with their structure up forward. They will have a heap of inside 50's but the Bombers will just rebound it out with ease IMO. I wont be touching Melbourne to win anything until they show a bit more up forward.

I could be wrong but they wont get my money and i see the Bombers in a scoreline of around 109 - 68.
